Holiday Inn Express Cardiff Airport

After a long day travelling it was great that the Staff were amazing, Ash couldn't be more helpful and quickly moved us to a twin room. Rooms have been refurbished and have all you need. Breakfast was plentiful and organised. Good to see clean tables. Sian took us to the airport and was really lovely and welcoming. Thanks everyone.... Stayed here the night before a Qatar flight. Hotel was fine, exactly what one would expect. Car park around the hotel was rough. Up early the following morning and just departed on the very good shuttle when we were told by the driver that the hotel knew that the flight had been delayed by 2 hours! Hacked off. This Cardiff HIE is in an excellent location for an overnight stay before flying out of Cardiff International. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly , the hotel is spotless and the rooms though fairly basic are quiet and comfortable. Cannot fault our 2 night stay. The staff went above and beyond to make the stay great. Nothing was too much trouble. The airport transfers were excellent, plus the grab and go breakfast. Facilities were basic but good.

This is our second stay whilst travelling overseas. Park and stay of which I feel is great value. The car stays and we go off on our hols with complete satisfaction and hassle free knowing the car is secure, whilst we are having our holiday. I can fully recommend this hotel and the great service it offers. Good value and a most enjoyable stay on both occasions. Very comfortable and cozy beds " that ensure a good night's sleep , quality mattreses. Overall experience good just more attention to refurb rooms before re letting as shower head fitting not secured when turned on spun round flooding floor spent 20 mins moping up and trying to get a shower while holding shower head not what you wanted before a long international flight to oz also tv remote didn’t work batteries flat. Didn’t have a chance to tell staff on desk about the shower and extremely hard bed as coach party checkin in.Hoping for better experience on rtn leg 24th jan.But couldn’t fault excellent staff which must be difficult for them while refurb of hotel is on going. This hotel is superb, we regularly stay here when we have a late flight. Its so easy and relaxing we love it. This time there were decorating work being undertaking, but the hotel ensured that the disruption was kept to a minimum, we requested a third floor rom]om but due to work being undertaking we were given a second floor room which was fine. Overall a good stay.Friendly and professional check in.Comfortable bar area with acceptable meals and friendly service.Rooms very clean with everything needed for an overnight stay. Single beds a bit small and would benefit from extra pillows.The parking area for the Park and Fly customers needs upgrading. The surface is hardcore gravel and it seems as if Holiday Inn run out of money or the contractors run out of tarmac!The shuttle experience was fine, except that the lady driver who took us to the airport was un-talkative to the point of being rude. Great for early flight but car park is absolutely atrocious. Have stayed there many times and will again, but come on Holiday Inn, it’s not particularly cheap to stay and leave car so surely you could run to some tarmac!

Stayed for one night before our holiday , very warm welcome easy check in , very comfortable room , the only negative was that the room was very warm but we didn't know that we could have asked for a fan (totally our fault) , we had parking for the week which was included and the breakfast was lovely and enough before the flight (latte was amazing) free transfer to the airport with a very lovely lady and a big bonus the rooms didn't have a bible in it ,all in all will deffo stay here again.

We stayed here before our flight to Malta. Great check in, comfortable room and ideal breakfast. I wanted to mention a member of staff Sian, she was excellent. She took us to the airport and even remembered us a week later when we returned, as it was still early and breakfast was still being served she told us to pop in before our journey home. Whilst having a cuppa she was then helping at breakfast, clearing tables, helping a child with his hot chocolate and giving some other guests some ideas what to do that day. A great asset to you. The room was clean, bar food was adequate, breakfast was hot and above all the staff are very friendly ||I stayed before flying to Spain and used the parking facility, you basically cant fault it. .. I had a mix up as to where to wait for the return shuttle on arriving back....so double check before leaving with them where they collect you from, but it was sorted...||I would use it again as other reviews state the car park for long stay is not the best, very rough hard core.....
