Had my wedding reception here Sept 2018. Absolutely brilliant. Great atmosphere. Penny and the team were incredibly helpful over the prior 18 months. Doesn't have much phone reception which is either a blessing because people can't be on their phone during the day or a curse because they can't upload stuff to social media. We had our wedding at Gildings in May and we could not recommend this venue enough. They was so supportive through our planning and really helped pull the big day together. Despite bad weather, Hilary helped us to ensure space and cover for all our guests and just made it so perfect. Having photos under the covered barn at the front made it so unique, proving that no matter what the weather on your big day, this venue can deliver. The location is beautiful and intimate and allows you to put your personal stamp on the day in a way no other venue could have done for us. We have been invited back for our 1 year anniversary which is an amazing gesture and can say this barn will always hold a special place in our hearts. More...

We chose Gildings as our wedding venue back in December 2016 and ever since then, we have been over the moon with every interaction we have had. Richard, Penny and Hilary have been so amenable throughout the run up and during our wedding, allowing us to visit multiple times so that I could envisage all my ideas for decorations, answering our texts and emails as we enquired as to whether we could put a tipi in the field at the back (!) and providing us with the most beautiful venue in which to get married.We loved that we were able to do our own thing with the space and, over the past year we have truly felt at home at Gildings. When we discovered that the barn had received a marriage license just a few months before our wedding, we did not hesitate to switch our registry office booking to that of a licensed venue marriage and we are honoured to have been the first couple to legally marry at Gildings.For anyone looking for a beautiful, rustic venue that they can make their own with all the support of a friendly, accommodating and professional venue team, this is the place for you!Thank you Richard, Penny, Hilary and Ed!
