Heat Secured

Had contract with them almost 20yrs. Called them as we had no heating or hot water. Engineer came out and then called office regarding fault and previous repair. We were then told we no longer had a contract, it was cancelled in December. We just assumed payment was coming out of account as it had done for many years. I had to fit a pump at beginning of lockdown as my partner was shielding and we couldn't risk anyone in the house, they said this made the contract void. They were not aware of this when the contract was cancelled 11 months ago. (Pump fitted April) We asked why it was cancelled and was told we cancelled it which is not the case and (checked bank and no payment was taken from December) was then told they might have cancelled it. I asked why and they said they maybe had an issue with us which was not the case and very insulting, if there was an issue, we wouldn't have phoned now for a callout. We were not notified of it being cancelled and the person on the phone said they are not legally obliged to notify us so basically we have had not cover for 11 months. What a disgusting attitude towards a customer who had been with them for 20 years. My partner has health problems and we have no heating or hot water and now have to try and get the repair done elsewhere. Over the years we have had problems with Heat Secured but still stayed loyal, especially as they are a local company. Fantastic, friendly and reliable service. Installed a new boiler for me - gave me the choice of two options, one more affordable option and a premium option - I took the premium option as it comes with a 10 year warranty, including all parts and labour. I also have a monthly service contract with Heat Secured, covering my full central heating system, radiators and all, for an affordable price.
