What do you love most about your job?
How much of a difference Heart makes to the day to day operations of our customers, especially our schools to ensure the children are learning in clean, sanitised, tidy and nice smelling environments!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Heart came about from two brothers going into partnership. One was an ex-Met Police Forensics (Part of the serious crime/flying squad team) officer of 26 years, the other was a technology Sales Director of 20 years. Both were not happy with the big corporate environment or governmental bodies anymore and wanted to work for themselves.
Why should our clients choose you?
We know that cleaning is quite subjective, because there are humans involved in this it can be the case that things go wrong. We never admit to being 100% all the time, we're not all robots! But we will never stop trying to put something right and aim high in the first place. We are often disgusted with the approaches by some in the industry, where regular checks are not made, little to no training is provided and COSHH standards are nowhere near where they need to be. This is from companies 20x bigger than us!
We stand by our cleaning and not a clause in a contract. We have a strong team of Area Managers and operations staff behind us, with a very flat management structure. We will always try and put the wishes of our customers first. We are proud to have some contracts on our books who have remained with us for many years. Happy to provide references of these and many more upon request.
Another two things we find are:
1. Other cleaning companies are not willing to make a change when it comes to cleaners if they don't cut the grade. This causes them a recruitment headache, so they often resist this and go quiet on the customer. Heart are happy to make this their problem, and ensure the right person is in the right job for them and our customer too.
2. Cover Cleaning for sickness, absence and support. Even some of the big companies have really struggled with this. Heart have a robust team, who are machine trained, Enhanced DBS checked and mobile across all of our sites to support as and when needed. Not many can profess to providing this at no extra cost to their customers.

No sorry this is a people and hands-on kinda job and we need to be physically there to do what we do!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All our cleaning operatives are briefed on stringent COSHH and HSE training to use the chemicals, equipment, uniform and PPE. This is monitored in their respective training packs by the Operations Manager and delivered by our Area Managers until they are satisfied this has been received loud and clear.
Daily Commercial Hygiene Cleaning
Heart provide as many hours needed to deliver a high standard of cleaning from our staff for all of our customers. This is tied to a specification which we measure, audit and insure compliance with in order to have a happy customer, a motivated cleaning operative and a good working relationship all round.
We can do this 24/7/365 or as little as 2 hours a day, 5 days a week depending on the opportunity.
As a family business we're flexible, and given companies are not sure if they will be fully reopening or not in the near future, kick off cleans and maintenance cleans are possible to support sites as they slowly return back.
One off site cleans
Heart takes great pride in being responsive, dependable and able to provide a high level of cleaning at short notice to support builders when finalising a site, for premises re-opening after some time away and for being able to apply our machine cleaning and expertise to get a site back up to a high standard or cleaning finish. Carpet and hardwood floor cleaning
As a commercial operation, we have the need across a large many of our sites to provide maintenance cleans. What other companies called "deep", we dont like this term at all. To us if its being done well consistently, you just need to either maintain it or do a kick off clean at the start to get a site up to scratch.
