What a fantastic shop, service and people! A traditional shoe shop that’s been passed from generation to generation and is still being ran by the family. Not only the people who greeted me there were young but they also have so much knowledge of the business. In just a couple of minutes they repaired a (dearest) pair of boots to which I had previously been advised to throw away and buy a new pair. They were so kind and friendly and definitely made my Christmas a lot happier this year! I would recommend anyone who is in need of repairs (or even to purchase new great quality shoes/boots) to visit H.E Payne & Sons Ltd. The store took me back in time to my childhood when I was taught to visit our shoemaker neighbour and get my shoes repaired instead of wasting. Such a great little shop with so much history to tell!! Had several repairs done on our shoes by The Greatest Shoeman for myself, my sister, and my nannan, all have been to the absolute highest standard no matter what kind of shoe. I had a repair done to my favourite pair of Reiker boots that were coming apart at the seams, only took a day or two and was very cheap. I took some much loved favourite boots for repair but I was told that it wouldn't be worth it as the boots weren't genuine leather. Natalie kindly supplied me with a catalogue to look through and I chose a new pair. I am super fussy about boots so I was a bit unsure about ordering something I couldn't see 'in the flesh' but when I picked them up yesterday I fell completely in love with them.
