I am the deputy manager at harmony homecare Suffolk my role is to ensure quality and compliance is maintained and to ensure good service delivery. I have only worked in my position within the company for 4 months but what a great 4 months it has been so far. My director Mircea offered me a great salary with monthly bonus based on performance and other incentives. He provides support to myself and everyone in the team and ensures our points are heard. Chantel the registered manager has opened up so much career growth to myself and is appointing me as her head safeguarding lead with more potential for growth in the future. Liked the challenge of implementing the correct paperwork, procedures and staff improvements, to adhere to CQC Regulations, due to the company needing to improve and move forward. I would like to thank all the team at Harmony for taking such great care of my Mum. Although we only had the pleasure of your team 4 times a day during March 2021, I have to say THANK YOU SO MUCH from the bottom of my broken heart for what you did for Mum. In such a short time, it felt like you had known us months. You all cared, you all smiled, you all laughed with Mum and I will never forget your kindness and care along the way. Losing Mum has left the biggest hole in my heart, but each day when I wasn’t with her I knew she was in such safe hands of Harmony. What do you love most about your job?
Being able to make a difference to someone's everyday life. Allowing them to remain as independent as possible whilst remaining in their own homes with their family around them. Seeing when a difference has been made and the smiles that come with them
What inspired you to start your own business?
Harmony Homecare Suffolk was created when 2 individuals got together and knew that they could make a difference. We believe that some agencies do not provide the level of care that individuals deserve and that's where we wanted to make the difference
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All carers wear full PPE at all calls. All carers have been fully vaccinated and take 3 COVID tests a week. Current government guidelines are closely monitored and changes are made instantly
Personal Care
Our Homecare Assistants are able to assist with personal care routines. Whether it is a wash everyday at the sink or you would prefer a shower, we are able to assist.
We promote independence and allow the Service User to do as much for themselves as possible making their own choices along the way.
We are also able to assist with oral hygiene, shaving and hair washing to name but a few
Meal Preparation
Homecare Assistants can help prepare you a fully cooked meal or a light snack, it is you choice.
Carers would prepare to your liking offering choice and preferences along the way.
We will also help to prepare hot and cold fluids throughout the day, made just the way you like them
Assistance with Medication
Homecare Assistants are able to assist with daily prescribed medication. If you just require someone to wash you take you medication, verbal prompts to take you medication or medication administration then we are able to help. Every service user we look after has an up to date EMAR in place
