About

Hi my name is michelle and I am aware Choosing to start therapy can often feel daunting and terrifying. I understand this journey, both from a personal and from a theoretical perspective. So, I just want to say thank you for putting yourself out there, even know you may have feelings of apprehension.

Services

I am a professionally qualified Humanistic Counsellor. My counselling is therefore shaped by the Person Centred approach. So what does this mean????.....I offer a safe space for you to explore your struggles, relationship difficulties, work related issues and worries in a confidential, respectful, non judgemental environment and with an empathic understanding. I will place myself in your frame of reference, offering a different perspective and challenge you. To do this i would ask you "How does that make you feel" when you have expressed a thought or situation to me.

I am an individual member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means my professional values, principles, code of conduct reflect my ethical commitment to the people I work with.

using the Pluralistic Approach I will facilitate you to explore your needs, motivations, desires, skills and thought processes. Therefore, assisting you in developing goals, tasks and methods to reach your full potential in both professional and personal growth. This will be done in a safe and non judgemental environment.

I also offer Group Therapy which will initiate a sense of belonging through understanding. This is achieved by sharing common experiences. In addition, will strengthen your relationhsip skills, reduce isolation and finding your voice. Group therapy is especially valuable but not limited to, for individuals dealing with depression, social anxiety and life transitions.
