How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
The best bet is to employ an architect/structural engineer to advise on the structural integrity of the garage as there is some poorly built examples out there.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Firstly a new footing across the garage doorway to allow the wall to be filled in to accommodate a window/personal door. Followed by floor/wall/ceiling insulation and stud walls. Electrical,plumbing if required then plasterboard plaster and paint.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Again an architect/ structural engineer is the best option.
Generally it’s easier to convert a roof that’s traditional hand cut rather than a prebuilt trusses although either can be done.

Normally steel beams to support new.
New floor joists,walls,roof timbers for example on a hip to gable conversion.
Followed by insulation electrical,plumbing plasterboard plaster and decoration
