What makes a great website?
Clear navigation, combined with logical structure that is easy to follow.
Intelligently designed responsiveness, so that the site transforms smoothly to different devices (desktop PCs, laptops, hi res tablets, lo res tablets, and varying sizes of smart phone) without loss of clarity in the navigation.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is your target audience?
How do you want them to respond as a result of reading/viewing the final result of the project?
What impression of your company or organisation do you want your audience to form?
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Target market/potential clients, attitude (are you a lighthearted/slightly whimsical company, or a traditional business service provider? Or something in between? (Most people are something in between - best to talk about it.)
What do you love most about your job?
Using my unusual combination of skills to help other small business owners to promote their businesses.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The option of setting my own hours and the chance to help other people succeed in what I'm doing too!
Why should our clients choose you?
I have over 25 years of experience in publishing and design, and know what works. I have experience in lots of sectors, but I am a particular expert in the education sector, and in working for not-for-profit organisations.
