Keen to get to understand how to play guitar I was looking for a teacher with not just experience but the passion to pass on his knowledge and skills to learners like me. I can honestly say Terry has a style of teaching as well as the patience that makes every lesson enjoyable. Day 1 I came away feeling energised about guitar. In a short space of time I gained the confidence to play songs which I was not expecting so soon. I came into guitar with an interest but since learning from Terry his passion has rubbed off. Terry is a great character as well as teacher and I always look forward to the next lesson and challenges he puts my way. Very happy with all aspects of lessons with Terry. I’ve had many guitar teachers over the years, but none have displayed the passion and dedication that Terry has. His attention to detail and methods of teaching are great for both beginners and advanced players, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. My little boy has learned so much in just three weeks. He's gone from being very shy to very confident and now won't put his guitar down. Such fun lessons and makes learning so cool. I had an old guitar teacher at my school and he was always on his phone I never really learnt much I started to stop playing guitar after I told me mum she took me out. I started to give up and stop playing. As I did. Weeks later I got told that I'm doing guitar lessons at first I thought on no I'm going back with my old guitar teacher. I have been playing guitar since the mid 70's and totally self taught. Over the decades been playing on and off and regard myself as a amateur who can play pretty OK. However as a multi-instrumentalist I have been very stuck in my ways and really need to work on technique. Terry is proving to be the perfect teacher to 'gently' spot where I am stuck and is also just such a nice person to be with. I'm not after a quick fix, but a gradual encouraging learning growth. Several times over the last few decades I have attempted to learn the guitar, taken a few lessons but got bored and lost interest. Recently a friend of a friend told me about Terry and I thought I would give it one last try. Within a couple of lessons the penny dropped and things started to fall into place, Terry not only makes it simple and fun but will taylor things to what you want to learn and play.
