I booked the special offer night away with afternoon tea, dinner, bed and breakfast to celebrate our anniversary and my other half's birthday. We had a lovely time. Amazing...... We got married here 31st August and it was everything we could of asked for. The Staff are amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I would like to say a huge Thank you to Carol & Sultan, they both made sure our day was as perfect as it could be, they took all the stress and worry out of everything and just make sure the day flows as smoothly as it can!!! We had our wedding here on Saturday 7th September. What an amazing weekend. The staff couldn't do anymore, they were attentive, nothing was too much trouble even with last minute changes Carol and her team were very accommodating. We had our wedding at the hotel yesterday , absolutely amazing from start to finish . Carol is 1 in a million nothing is too much trouble . We had our special day on the 15th June 2019. I had been to the hotel for many occasions such as Christmas time meals, Easter and fathers day so I knew what a lovely venue it was. However from the moment we walked into one of the wedding fayres we knew this was the venue for us. From that point onwards, two years later Carol and her staff have been absolutely amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We asked for a bespoke evening menu which was and has been the talk of our guests ever since. Our compliments to the chef the scotch eggs were to die for!!! The weather didn't seem to be on our side but we were reassured that other plans could be made. Our day was magical and went without a glitch, this was again purely 100% down to the staff and Carol,we didn't have to think about anything. We can't thank them enough for all their efforts in making our wedding day one of the best days of our lives and we would definitely recommend the venue and staff to anyone who wants the wedding of their dreams. I would like to say thank you to Carol Knight and all of the staff at the Glen Yr Afon House Hotel. My wedding was held at this beautiful setting and the staff couldn’t be more helpful if they tried. Nothing was too much and the whole day ran perfectly from start to finish. Our guests all commented on how lovely the food was. A lot of them said it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and I have no doubt that this was largely down to the commitment from the hotel staff. Fantastic afternoon tea, especially the gluten free! We've tried a few places but this was the best gluten free afternoon tea i've ever had. Never seen such a good choice of cakes and sweet treats all of which you'd never know were gluten free (a very nice change from the usual chocolate brownie and bakewell tart!)
