It was a brilliant stay for me and my dog. Coco was even allowed into breakfast. The warm welcome epitomised the staff's commitment to see all guests were able to enjoy their stay. The food was excellent and the wine very reasonably priced. I had a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The proprietor, Mrs Trish Douglas, runs a very good establishment. As the weekend saw a packed out bar/restaurant, it speaks volumes about the establishment's popularity and the respect the locals have for a good night out. More...

I stayed here for 2 nights on business as I need a change from the more expensive, faceless Aberdeen hotels.||||I must say that form start to finish I had a great stay here, really clean, great food and very friendly staff.||||I'll definitely here again!

Plenty free parking in a private car park across from the hotel. Rooms were pretty good and the hotel certainly has character, and it's clean. Very good value.||||Staff were very good and the restaurant is excellent. We ate there all three nights. The portions were very generous and plenty of choice on the menu. Right off the heart of the city. Great place to stay for Graham Clan members. Competitive prices and an awesome thing. They have their own car park right across the street. Just down the street is the Montrose Museum and right up the hill is the main street. Great little bakery where we got some pasties. Pastry pockets with meat inside. Ours was roast beef. Yummy.
