Eva came to our home for a tutorial session. We have numerous shrubs and the garden is on 2 levels, I was starting to feel overwhelmed and lacking enthusiasm with it. Eva spent a couple of hours talking to me about the plants and showing me how to trim, prune and tidy and WHEN to do each of thest things. I found it extremely interesting , Eva has a wealth of knowledge and obviously enjoys sharing her knowledge. What do you love most about your job?
I've been working with plants and gardens all my life. 30 years on, I still think it's a great way to earn a living. No two days are the same, no two years are the same, and no two Clients are the same. I love the challenge of meeting the requirements and expectations of each project and each Client. And the feeling of satisfaction when I have managed to make the world a prettier place, one garden at a time!
What inspired you to start your own business?
After many years of being an employee, and often wishing I were my own boss, I finally took the plunge in 2015. By then, I had the time and the resources to do it - and I've never looked back.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a professional horticulturist, passionate about plants, gardens, great design and re-connecting with Nature on our doorstep. I love creating plant-rich gardens that change with the seasons, provide year-round interest, and are easy to access and maintain.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
In order to do a good job, I need to personally visit and survey the garden. After that, most of the communications with the Client happen online or remotely.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I keep site visits to the minimum and only meet my Clients outdoors, wearing a face mask if requested or if they are in a vulnerable category.
Garden design
You and I will put together a design brief to include all your requirements. Then, you will receive a set of scale drawings and sketches from which the new garden can be constructed and planted up. Gardenity designs tend to be plant-rich with year-round interest, a blueprint for creating a green living extension to your house, somewhere to re-connect with Nature.
Planting design
Gardenity will design and create attractive new borders in your garden, or improve existing ones with carefully selected new plants.
Garden consultation
An hour or more in your garden to discuss all your garden problems and find the best solutions. This can be anything from design issues to growing vegetables.
Plant identification
If you know the names of your plants, you can look them up online and find out how to look after them. I will leave your plants clearly labelled so later you can do just that.
