I used Frosty’s for a side-return extension, re-configuring of downstairs & upstairs, new kitchen and new bathroom fitting. I was really impressed with the work that was carried out. Michael was always available for questions and advice and he always talked through the process and options. He coordinated all elements which made the process really painless. The quality and attention to detail was great. Michael takes real pride in his work which continues through to all his staff. Having formerly been a shop the layout of our house was odd and didn’t work for us as a family. Frosty’s demolished parts of the existing building, built a new large kitchen/diner extension and reconfigured other existing rooms. The project came in within the timescales given and also on budget. With young kids I was concerned how they would work around us, but I can safely say the team were most polite and clean builders I have ever come across. We also liked the idea of having one team who carried out all the work rather than several sub-contractors.We live on a busy corner, near a station and didn’t have a single complaint with regards to van parking/noise etc. throughout the whole build. We had quite clear ideas of what we wanted but when on site Mike was happy to chat through any concerns or changes we had. I would highly recommend Frosty’s for any large builds. More...

Following a tender exercise, we selected Frostys. After that we invited Michael Frost to design meetings with the architect where he was a useful asset when finishing off the design. Prior to the build we had a complete bill of costs. During the build we did make some changes, and the costs were managed to a 3.6% agreed overspend. We were kept informed of the effects of our changes so this was not a suprise. We found the building team considerate of our house and the parking in the area. I was able to speak with the site foreman on a daily basis for updates and forewarnings of potential issues which made it easier for us to plan ahead so that the building could continue. At the end of the build the snagging list was small and quickly resolved. There were two days out of a 6 month build when no-one turned up. The first was when the two builders on site were both ill, and we were telephoned by about 10am to let us know. The second was when the whole team were on another site for a day and we had been infomed of this a week in advance. The whole team were very reliable. Absolutely brilliant!! From start to finish, Michael and his team were professional, quick and offered suggestions when needed over a period of 6 months - not an easy job when combining two properties, adding an extension and loft conversion! Michael even managed to alert us to problems in the design / structural calculations that many would have missed - which he then sorted out himself!. His suggestions regarding central heating, kitchen surfaces, building schedules, kitchen / bathroom suppliers - where he liaised to not only get a good deal but to also sort out final delivery issues - were really good. His team were very polite - we live on a busy road and relied on 'neighbourly love' for parking etc which would not have been possible if the guys were not approachable and sympathetic. I also like the mix of skills he has got within his team - makes a huge difference on scheduling when multiple activities have to take place at the same time. The house is lovely - really impressed and we would always recommend Michael and his team for house renovations. And when the radio is on, these guys can sing! More...
