Locksmith was very friendly and professional. Arrived quickly despite it not being an emergency. He took time to show and explain exactly what he was doing at each step and why (which is always great when dealing with a trade the customer will generally have little knowledge on) and showed he was very trustworthy. Work was completed quickly to fix a trapped key and fault preventing the turn off inside mechanism. Initially I was worried what the price could be, however he had predicted from my explanation that it may be a quick fix without damage to expensive replacement needing parts, and this is how it turned out. Lock is fixed and door works, closes and locks perfectly. All in all, very professional, immediately makes you feel Comftorble and trusting, work completed efficiently and well and for a very reasonable price, all within a couple of hours of calling. Andy from Fortify Locksmiths came out promptly to repair our UPVC back door as lock had failed. He gained access and replaced the multipoint gearbox. Now my door unlocks and locks like a charm and it closes properly. All at a nice price too. Great service from start to finish. Fortify responded quickly and offered plenty of advice without the expectation of being given the job. They then came out and rectified a problem with a lock mechanism that had been replaced only 5.minths ago. I paid over £400 to a company who apparently no longer operate so cannot claim any warranty. We’ve never used a locksmith before but after doing some research online reading various reviews we came across Andrew from Fortify Locksmiths and thought we would call him. What a lovely person this gentleman is. He was really professional and very knowledgeable and very good at explaining things and takes his business seriously. He also doesn’t take your eyes out at charging ridiculous prices. I had two windows which kept getting stuck when opening/closing which Andrew informed me needed new hinges but he didn’t think it was a major problem as they still worked and could be replaced sometime in the future if I wanted to have them done. However, he did fix my back door and realigned it as it was catching all the time and becoming a problem with the handle and he also replaced my side door with a new lock and key. Would just like to give a shout out to Fortify Locksmiths !!! Unfortunately yesterday my grandmother had someone come to her home and pose as a carer. They stole her bag which also held her house keys. I had a broken lock on my front door and hired Andy via the MyBuilder website. I was very pleased with the service I had from Andy on this job. He responded to my job post on MyBuilder very promptly and quoted a price based on the photos that I had uploaded. The other responses I received did not do this. So before I hired him I had a good idea of what this would cost. On the day he turned up at the time he said he would, assessed the job, explained what the options were and what they would cost.
