I really need to 'big up' Alex at flex who has helped me rehabilitate following an achilles tendon rupture. All the staff at flex are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful but Alex really has excelled. I presented at flex originally back in september after been dianosed with soft tissue damage, within minutes of arriving at flex, it was determined i had ruptured my achilles and needed to be in a cast. After several weeks immobilized in the cast, i started my rehab in December. Alex was my designated physio who was fab at tendon massage, even though it hurt like hell and an extra thank you for not cringing when i forgot to shave my legs. Anyway i digress, my rehab has been diverse from alterg work to springing around on bouncy stuff but it has always been suited to my needs, abilities and my goals. I always felt listened to and never once have the flex team given up on me. Im no sportsman or athlete, instead i am just a normal overaged overused oversized woman but i knew that if i took the advice and continued my excercise plan i would fix .. im almost fixed now. Flex have helped me recover from 2 different injuries sustained playing football. They are always professional but very friendly and I actually really enjoyed my sessions. Deep tissue massage, gym work and football based drills to test/monitor recover were used through the stages of rehabilitation. This meant when I went back to play I was 100% fit. I have been using Flex Health for a long while now ever since my rotator cuff injury. This is now healed, however I still go once a month for a massage and ensure everything is ok. Being a wheelchair user my arms, shoulders and back take a good hammering, so it's best to keep on top of things. If there is an issue arising it's spotted early and can prevent more damage. Bring cash, you'll want much more than you planned when you meet these guys and see just some of the cutting edge products they're able to provide! Stared and run mostly by fellow wheelchair dependants gives the usual headstart for a good disability equipment supplier here. Its exact location on the business park is maybe not the place to blindly follow the satnav to if one requires perfect road markings to function safely behind the wheel. From the entrance gate it is just about visible in the middle of the second row to the right. Cyclone will see you right or explain to you exactly why you're wrong. Honest advice over the hard sell when I renewed my chair to the very best spec imaginable and an unspeakably good discount to. The top rating is just as valid without the savings made. Being a fan of magnesium and carbon fiber helps my most recent chair make me very happy with my decision to give Cyclone Mobility a try when I really needed a new wheelchair earlier this year. Saw Alex for a sports massage on my back to deal with knots and tightness.
He went through health questions, discussed the problem and was very professional throughout and as painful as it was it feels much better. He explained what was causing the issue and has recommended a warm up exercise to do before training.

Would recommend Flex Health to anyone!
I have been seen by both Alex and Matt for an ankle injury (found after a back pummelling courtesy of Alex! ) Both guys have been great, professional but very chilled out and make you feel comfortable and welcome. They have a wealth of knowledge between the whole team and it's clear to see the difference they are making to people as soon as you step in the door! I went in a few days ago for a deep tissue massage to alleviate some tightness in my back, shoulders and hips, after the place was recommended to me.

I can already feel a difference in mobility in the gym and comfort just walking around. The therapist I worked with (Imogen) definitely seemed very knowledgable and it shows because the difference I can feel in just a few days is staggering.

The two guys at the reception were really polite and welcoming, and the whole place appeared like it was well-looked after.

I'll definitely be returning, most likely making it a monthly or even fortnightly thing. More...

If you're in a wheeclchair buy a BATEC, yes they're a bit pricey, but so is everything in the world of wheelchairs. I 'ummed and ahhed' for a while because of the price but IT IS THE SINGLE BEST THING I'VE EVER BOUGHT, apart from my dog! ! It means I can now actually take my dog out for a decent walk on my own, go to all sorts of off road places I would never have dreamed of before and travel here there and everywhere. It genuinely is a life changer, I use it every day, so to be honest it's turned out to be really good value for money. More...

Absolutely outstanding service from these guys. I'm on warrior challenge a 400 mile cycle and my wheelchair broke. Made pit stop to the showroom and they have lent me a brand new GTM SHOCK ABSORBER to complete the challenge on...!!!! ��
