Stacy has always done our family photos so naturally she was first choice for our wedding photographer. don't know where to begin from the moment she got there to the minute she left she was a God send! Lovely, bubbly, friendly and hard working, also great with the kids! She never misses a photo opportunity or a moment. Stacey from First Steps did our daughters wedding in August. She was lovely before and on the day, and we were all really pleased but when the album eventually arrived we were all so upset. Basic 4x6 ‘snaps’ randomly put in album, lopsided and not in any order. One photo (of bridesmaids flowers) had a half empty coffee cup and glass of squash next to it. When I contacted her to express how upset we were, and pointed out a few things - regarding the above snap she said it was my place to clean and tidy the house-not hers!! The flowers were only sat on the kitchen side for them to pick up on the way out. We did not know she would photograph them there - talking to other photographers, they say it is the photographers job to look at the whole picture and move anything not wanted in the picture, or move the wanted item to a better area. Another picture showed the groom waiting at the front with possibly the worst red eye I’ve seen. Again when I questioned this she said my daughter and her new husband had requested all the photos and if they wanted them edited they should have said. I believe these sort of issues should have been automatically edited by her before being put in an album. My daughter and her husband knew they could request special effects on some photos (which they did on a few ), but didn’t know they had to select basic editing on all the photos. Stacey was not very polite in her response to me but, to be fair, she did say she could meet up with them and see what she could do. As so many photos were out of focus, or people in groups just could not be seen atall, etc we felt there was little she could do and my daughter didn’t feel able to speak to her about it so we chose to sort it ourselves. With some of the photos she took, that were okay, and that were on the USB, along with friends photos on phones and cameras we were able to print out a complete new album but this cost us another £70. We did suggest to Stacey it would be nice if she could contribute to this cost to go some way towards giving them an album to be proud of but have had no response to that. First Steps Photography may be pleasant to deal with on the day, but we have since learned all photos were taken on ‘auto’, which even I could do, not edited, not displayed well etc and if you want an album to be proud of think of going elsewhere. We booked our wedding photos through here and was able to request Karen Tolputt to be there on the day. The deal we got was fantastic, First Steps was brilliant in organising what we wanted and Karen was amazing in taking formal and informal photos, we highly recommend both.

Use Stacey for a variety of events as our photographer and I have to say she delivers a superb service. Polite, Will help anyone in need, But most of all creates some beautiful photos and has become very popular with her work of art.
