My name is Dr Rowen Fernando. After I realised how hard it was to find quality care for my elderly father, I was inspired to set up my own micro-enterprise called First Rate Home Healthcare. Our passion is to provide amazing care and treat people as we would our own family. We take our time to ensure you get the quality care you need. Our combination of having that personal touch as well as the professionalism of being Doctor led is what makes us  different and in a unique place to give you that exceptional care you deserve.

Personal care-  Everyone is different as are their requirements for Personal Care. Let us create a tailored package that can support you to live as you want to, be it with care needs such as dressing, washing or assistance with medication amongst others.

Companionship- With the world becoming increasingly busy, our supportive, compassionate staff can help ease any loneliness. This can include activities such as eating meals together, hobbies or even a chat over a cup of tea.

Dementia Care- Dementia can effect people in different aspects of their life. We are experts at providing care to those with Dementia,  and supporting them to remain safe and independent in their own home.

Respite Care- We understand that caring for a loved one is stressful and challenging. Our well trained, responsive team are available to take over whilst a carer can take a well-earned break.

Domestic Support- We understand the importance of having a clean, tidy and pleasant home in maintaining health and independence.  Our experienced team can assist in all aspects of home upkeep.

Learning Support- We have years of experience helping those with Learning Disabilities and Autism remain supported, independent and engaged both at home and in the community. Let our team provide the dignified, respectful support that is required.

Live in Care- We have the experienced, compassionate team that can provide, constant, round-the-clock care from a dedicated carer who lives with you at home, offering a helping hand at a moment’s notice.

Complex Nursing Care- If you or a love one is living with one or more complex medical conditions, our highly trained team of nurses and carers are there to support you. With many years of clinical experience we are experts at supporting the most complex of medical needs.

End of Life Care- We understand that those needing palliative or end-of-life care should be supported in managing their symptoms, psychological well-being, social requirements or spiritual needs. Our experienced nurses and carers are ready to help you throughout this time.
