Q&As

It works in stages, and varies from project to project, but guidelines are as follows:
* We have an initial phone call with the client, to determine their basic needs and requirements, during which we ask several questions to give us an idea of what is needed.
* Once we have established what the client needs and whether we can help them with their project, we send them an initial quote for the work - this is based on the various packages as shown on our website, and having determined what the requirements are during the phone call.
* If the client accepts the quote in principle, we set up a meeting to take a full brief at the property.
* Depending on the package that the client has opted for, we get to work on the tasks at hand
* There will be a clearly set out time frame for delivery of the service - depending on which service package opted for

Our brand style is understated luxury, but the specific project is client led - we adapt the design to suit the client's preferences.

We offer various levels of service, tailored to the clients' needs and desires, and whichever package they have chosen, we give the same level of commitment and service to each client.

Services

We start this process with a brief Q&A over the phone, then for clients living within 20 miles of KT1, we offer a free initial consultation. This initial consultation will take place at your home or property in question, where we will sit down with you for 1 hour to discuss your objectives, budgets, timeframes and various other points. From there if we believe we will be a good fit for each other we will move to the next stage - the concept boarding stage.

If you decide you would like to proceed, we will move to the next phase which is the start of our creative process. For Interior Styling / Decoration we will create 1 Design Concept Board per room which will illustrate selections for: colour scheme, furniture, lighting, accessories, fabric & materials, flooring and window coverings.

This phase relates to projects that require basic space planing floor plans and wall elevations to indicate various elements including furniture, lighting and art placement. For more complex Interior Design projects we will also provide technical drawings at this stage.

Once you are happy with all selections, combinations and design elements and costs have been confirmed, we will begin the implementation process. It's really as simple as that!

Most designers not only charge their clients retail price for the furnishings they source, but in fact often charge extra on top for whats called a 'mark up'. But at Finishing Touch we like to do things a little differently! Which is why we always share our trade discounts with our clients meaning that you always benefit from any available discounts on furniture sourced and bought through us.

Our Interior Decoration & Styling service is perfect for home owners and commercial clients who need a home or property makeover without the need for interior architectural changes or other complex operations. With this service, one of our Interior Decorators will be with you from start to finish, and will work with you to create the perfect ambiance in your home or property. This service will include consultation and mood boarding to strategically achieve the desired results within the set budget and timeframe. Delivery & Installation are included as standard for Premium projects.

For projects that require a more in-depth approach, such as new kitchens, bathroom, flooring, finishes etc, our Interior Design service will provide you with expert interior designers who will be able to analyse the property and your objectives, and create a tailored solution to suit your needs. As well as residential projects, we are very comfortable working with commercial clients. Whether you would like to be involved in the design process, or let us take the lead, we pride ourselves in working in an efficient and timely manner.

With over 30 years of combined experience in the industry we have built many strong relationships with suppliers at all price points and styles. We also pride ourselves in staying up to date with industry trends. This is why we are perfectly placed to source all furniture and fittings no matter what the project calls for.

As well as sourcing, our interior designers are fabulous furniture designers and have had much experience with creating bespoke furniture designs for clients from storage solutions to soft furnishings and everything in between. If you would like to know more about how we could design bespoke furniture for you please don't hesitate to ask.

Perfect for a client that has a good idea of the direction he or she would like to take their project but would like a professional eye to bounce ideas off of and get some tips on best practices for tying elements together and the like. For this we provide a half day consultation service or at our hourly rate if you think you will need less time with us. In this session we will make sure you have answered the most important questions and help guide you in the right direction for making your dream home a reality.

Our furniture rental service is useful for developer show homes, residential homeowners, tenanted properties, landlords and relocation companies. Furniture rental rates vary according to the item. Rental furniture is delivered directly to the home/site. Styling must be included under the styling service agreement. We offer free UK Delivery & Installation for all orders over £1000.

Because of our extensive interior design background, we understand how to display a property in a way that enhances its beauty while masking its imperfections. We carry out an in-depth assessment of each property with a target-market in mind, and then proceed to highlight the property’s strongest qualities without overpowering it with styling. This gives your property the best chance of selling for more, and selling faster than if it were un-staged. This includes furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, rugs, artwork, decorative items and garden furniture.

We will asses the home from the standpoint of a buyer, and set up a consultation to discuss the necessary steps for getting it ready to be marketed to your target audience. This may include something as simple as decluttering and improving furniture layout, to more extensive home improvements including painting, flooring and styling. With all suggested changes we will work to provide you options within your budget and your timeframe.

When presenting new property developments to sell, it is essential that your prospective buyers can visualise themselves living in the property. This means presenting a lifestyle appropriate for your target-market. Finishing Touch utilises the many years of experience held by our stagers in the interior design field to provide high quality and cost effective solutions that tell the appropriate story to your prospective buyers.

For estate agents and vendors, we offer an unparalleled service to quickly and efficiently get property in the optimum state to be presented for marketing, online viewings, and in-person viewings. We consider this work a partnership and are able to offer preferential rates to estate agents and vendors who are looking for on-going collaborations for future/regular property staging.

Typically contracted by the Estate Agent for Lived-in properties, Pre-Photography Declutter & Styling can be contracted in addition to our home staging service or as a separate service. With Pre-photography styling, a Finishing Touch Stylist will arrive at the property on the day of the shoot (typically 3-5 hours before shooting) and will style the property to make it ‘shoot ready’ using existing items and several small accessories/props. This has proven to be a very effective technique with regards to enhancing photos and increasing viewings.

We supply quality furniture and accessories to suit the Landlord's accommodation type and any special requirements. Items are delivered, installed and styled ready for photography. Purchase options at competitive rates are also available for multi-property consistency or bespoke solutions. Finishing Touch provides our services to both residential and commercial. This includes furniture, soft furnishings, lighting, kitchen packs, and accessories such as art work, rugs, style accessories, curtains etc.

Holiday Home Styling is the perfect staging type for creating lifestyle photos that will improve marketing, online listings, brochures and increase your holiday bookings. We work with holiday homes throughout the UK and in special circumstances outside of the UK, perfectly tailored to suit your target-market. From cosy cottage getaways to luxury beachside retreats we have the experience and knowledge to make your holiday retreat stand out among the competition. Unique to this service: Food Styling, Scene Changes during photography, Early Start/Late Finish to capture ‘time of day’ based lifestyle imagery.
