Q&As

I love making all types of food, but I particularly like a the challenge of having to cater for a specific need. I have many great dishes that are gluten free, including a chocolate almond cake, a chocolate berry pot and a smoked mackerel quiche.
If health and diet aren't something that are a particular need of the client then I love to make jellies and mint chocolate mousse.
I get a lot of pleasure out of making great dressings that really make salad interesting and personally I love a great tabbouleh as it goes with anything.

Once I have been contacted I like to meet up with, or at the very least, have a phone discussion with the customer to discuss what their favourite foods are and what they are looking for in their menu. Also, budget is a consideration and I will work hard to produce quality that falls well within budget. I like to keep in touch with the customer to make sure that I have a complete grasp of their expectation and I strongly believe that open communication means that we get everything right.

I love meeting new people and working with them to make their event a success. I love eating good food and of course, I have to sample all my cooking to make sure that it tastes good!

I qualified as a Nurse in 1996 and joined the Army 2 years later, so I have always had an interest in good health and the impact that diet can have on this. I left the Army after 19 years and wanted to do something that was a different challenge and the idea of running my own business entered my head. I had initially gone to catering college and so have always had a love of food and cooking. I have loved catering for family events and appreciate how stressful that can be and how much it can take you away from the fun. Feasty Food came into being to remove that stress for people and to give them back the time to enjoy and participate in their event.

I have an appreciation of good food and an understanding of nutrition and how the two can work together. I have a family of my own and so understand that parties and events can be challenging, and I can help with that. I can cater for any unusual dietary needs and still produce food that is delicious. For those clients that are not concerned about nutrition I can produce a menu that uses a variety of ingredients that meets their foodie needs.
My professional background means that I have an open style and I will readily communicate and discuss progress with you. I can also advise on what might work better, but I will also be led by the customers wishes.
