We recently had a heat pump and 12 new radiators installed by FDG. It was a big job and took 8 days. The FDG plumbers led by Jon and ably assisted by Cameron and Ben were very hard working, efficient , polite and helpful as were both of the electricians.
We had some inevitable teething problems after the work was completed. However, FDG responded promptly and resolved the issues without undue delay.
There was a bit of a delay in the work getting started and some poor communication and changes of dates and timings. Otherwise we would have given them 5 stars!

In 2015 I was sold, or I should say mis-sold a solar panel system for a business address, the company had the backing of Barclays partner finance.
I was promised massive reductions in electricity bills and substantial tax-free FIT payments direct into my private account. The 20-year financial projections made this a no brainer, and with backing from Barclays what could go wrong.
Well, everything went wrong, my electricity bills were unchanged, and the FIT payments were a small fraction of what was promised. The company that fitted them disappeared and I was left with a 5-year battle with Barclays. After a small compensation was paid to me, which was a fraction of the cost of the panels, Barclays washed their hands of me, and I was left with a pile of junk on my roof making no money and it was going to be expensive to dispose of them.
Steve Allen from FDG Group came on the scene. He explained that basically the panels had been placed incorrectly, a lot of them were in the shade, and the installation had been poorly done. He explained he could move the panels to a different roof top and correct the instillation. I was very sceptical and did not really want to spend more money on solar panels.
Steve gave me a very good price, I put my trust in him, and he made it happen. The panels were re-sited, and the installation looked very tidy when the job was done. Excellent service well carried out, if I could give 6 stars I would, and this is why.
When the panels we first fitted in 2015 my electricity bill was unchanged. Before the panels were relocated the monthly direct debit for electricity was £250 per month. The bill for the premises now is £85 per month. This is offering a saving of just under £2000 a year. After FDG Group “fixed” my system my September FIT payment has just been paid to me and it was £508.53. For the same period, the average September payments for previous years have been £284,35. My FIT payments have almost doubled.
Thank you, Steve, and FDG Group I wish you were on the scene in 2015.

Poor customer service, no call back, no interest in resolving faults. My equipment has been faulty from August 2022, took until December 2022 to force them to change equipment but they chose not to replace inverter. Still same fault to this day, and again no call backs, other than a text message from them stating its FoxESS faulty product they can sort it or pay FDG to. A good experience with our Mitsubishi air source heat pump installation. Very friendly, responsive company. Expert installers, Steve and Andrew, who had system up and running quickly and with minimal disruption. 13 radiators upgraded with no mess. Waiting for Mitsubishi to provide their remote sensor so we can use the app. FDG have lent a different one to use until the installation is completed. Charged £199 for an EPC certificate and never lodged it.
Never applied to the DNO for permission prior to installing the equipment here: 5kw inverter, 10kw battery and 5kw Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP).
Didn't submit the appropriate forms after installation either.
FDG quoted for a battery and inverter with a lifetime warranty. After the battery and inverter were fitted by the sub-contractor, a booklet was left that told me where to go for an extended 5 year warranty. It turned out that the battery and inverter only came with a 5 year warranty plus 5 years on registration on the website - which FDG stopped me from doing.
They also quoted for a configuration that can't be fulfilled - eg 15kw of battery storage. For this brand it was 5kw x 3 to make the correct capacity. FDG installed 1 x10kw battery. I cancelled the second battery when I found out about their fraudulent activity.
They didn't even fit the solar panels that they'd contracted to do and the Iboost hasn't been installed either. Contract price was £22,800 for equipment that didn't come with a lifetime warranty. That's fraud.
FDG Group Ltd have been reported to the Police for Fraud and to Trading Standards for a criminal complaint.
FDG refused to provide a written breakdown of their invoice. This was requested 3 times in writing.
FDG engineers didn't take appropriate measures to safeguard my home, as stated in the clause in their contract. Incorrectly installed ASHP. Placed water cylinder in loft without prior loading calculations. Damaged my home in the process and still haven't repaired it all. Created dangerous situations with wiring and piping that should have been removed. Ignored Nottingham City Council Building Inspector's request for loading calculations and placing the cylinder on a plinth. Refused to reply to formal written complaint. Refused to meet for a recorded mediation meeting. Trader lodged MCS certificates for systems that aren't commissioned (not working properly and not completely, correctly installed). They're not supposed to do this until everything is working correctly. The system still doesn't work properly. Reported them to Trading Standards.
The water cylinder regularly locks up and there is a leak in the system. I often come home to a house that is 13c. They were briefed about my disabilities and particular needs and didn't take of my home/refuge.
Complained to American Express who pulled the money back and I now to have to find a reputable company to rectify FDG's shoddy work and then pay them what they are actually worth, after repairing my home and discounting an amount for the stress caused. Do not make any cash, BACS or Debit card payments to FDG - pay by credit card only so you have some protection. Complaints have been lodged with all of their compliance organisations.

What can I say about Steve and the FDG team that hasn’t already been said! I have a large bungalow in the snow line in the Peak District and the weather gets pretty chilly 🥶 The system Steve and the team has installed is superb, it keeps the home warm all the time and it’s a pleasure to come home and walk into a warm house without worrying about sky high bills. The installation was complicated and was made more difficult by me being Uber picky and changing my mind on locations for equipment in the middle of the job. The FDG team were great and accommodated all of our requests and changes. We had a tiny leak on the first day and one of the guys drove for half a day to come and put it right. I had solar panels, full suite of new radiators and pump and a new RCD installed. Steve and the team project managed the entire operation and made it very easy. All we have to do now is enjoy small bills and watch the RHI get paid back over the next few years. We are so pleased we recommended FDG to our parents and they are both now having an installation completed. Top job team FDG More...

Great service on our solar and battery installation from the initial site survey through to installation and follow up. Site survey explained fully the installation process, following installation the system fully checked and explained to ourselves. We had one minor issue following a power cut which FDG promptly resolved over the phone. Definitely use FDG should we expand and certainly recommend to anyone wishing to take advantage of solar.
