How long have you been in business?
Extra Help has been established 13 years, our South Hams branch was established in 2020. Our Torbay branch was established in 2018.
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
We do not bring equipment from home to home to avoid any cross contamination between properties.
What do you love most about your job?
We love to support our local community, giving individuals and families more time to do the things they love with the people they love. Let us take care of the housework, and much more!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to go in to business as I want to provide stability for my future family.

We are committed to providing a top class, bespoke service to our clients. Reliable, trustworthy individuals who really care about the community make up our wonderful team of local home helpers.

We can provide shopping services which are out of the home, and we can also complete sign up over the phone or via zoom. We do offer face to face sign up for those who prefer things that way.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
In line with government guidance, we wear masks throughout the duration of our visits, regularly sanitise our hands, and distance where possible and appropriate.
Ironing & Laundry
We can help clients with their weekly or monthly ironing needs, we can incorporate a pick up and drop off service if needed.
Cleaning
We can offer regular or ad hoc cleaning services, we also can help with household tasks such as shopping, laundry or bed making at the same time as coming in to clean.
Basic Gardening
We can offer basic gardening help, lawn mowing, weeding, planting bedding plants and or pots, watering and rearranging furniture.

Picking children up from school/dropping off
Shopping Services
We can shop or run errands on behalf of our clients, we can bring these products in and put them away or we can leave them at the door. Whatever is preferred by the client.
Companionship
We can provide companionship for those in our local community. This can be performed exclusively or alongside other services such as domestic cleaning, or home help.
