How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Your garage will need insulating to make it a liveable space if its a 4 inch thick wall this will need a 100mm cavity and internal skin
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
A garage is mainly one skin of brick work converting this to a livable space will mean adding a cavity by building a internal block wall 100mm away from the back of the external brickwork adding a cavity will create room for insulation what will provide the warmth you need to exceed building regs, but before all this i would recommend digging a small hole down the side of your garage footings to make sure they are deep enough to take the weight of the internal blockwork

I would always recommend getting a building regulator before any new build or extention i have and still do work along side with skilled men that have been building houses for year and we dont leave jobs untill everything is finished and up to the standars that is requested
What do you love most about your job?
What i love about my job is driving past stunning work, beautiful property and amazing spaces, looking at a drawing and making it come a reality
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked for a small building company that was cityandguilds recommended and been in business since 1974 thats where i done my apprenticeship many years ago the owner was a proud bricklayer that taught me to love what i do and taught me everything that was needed to know
