What do you love most about your job?
Mortgages are pretty boring! I would say its all about that the Mortgages bring - helping people buy their first home, or a larger property, or work out how to make money from Property Investment. You know it is never 'easy' but we have more than enough ways to help, and the delight when you have genuinely supported them through this 'minefield' is always rewarding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
15 years of working for a major high street bank. I found finance a real passion, and when change was afoot I decided to set up my own Mortgage Brokers. And then I did that all again about 5 years ago, just for good measure!
Why should our clients choose you?
Part of what we do is the knowledge of the lenders, products and policy - but I think the education is what is lacking sometimes form other Brokers. We want our clients to understand their boundaries, why we need documents, how they can make a project work, why certain deals are better (or worse) for them. I don't believe we lose many clients who then go direct, but they understand the work and experiences we go through to allow us to repeatedly help, and refer their friends and family.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes we can. We have a number of online tools to help, so you don't need to book a 9-5 appointment, but can complete the required information more leisurely, at a more convenient time. We can then have a Zoom or a call about your case, and work out the strategy. Rarely do we see people face to face these days.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We have really improved our online offering, plus we are all as a team better at using Zoom and emails for most of what we need. That has also occurred with the majority of lenders, so we can be more streamlined and ready to help.
