Initially the company were keen and willing to assist. They agreed to all my requests and promised that they could easily provide me with the appropriate and adequate care that I need, not be a problem. This promise soon fizzled out when they told me at short notice they could only provide 1 carer not the 2 necessary. Some of the initial carers they sent were untrained, inefficient and hadn't got a clue. The manager made several promises to rectify the issues. I had occassions carers turned up nearly an hour and half late, didn't turn up at all.... I bent over backwards to accommodate the company by changing my call times, lengths of calls, amount of carers to be provided and eventually even cut down the amount of calls they'd need to assist with.
I had 1 lovely lady that did come regularly but she couldn't do the evenibg calls. Management promised to find me an alternative carer. Instead, I got a brief email telling me they were not able to provide me with any further care. They gave no notice period. Didn't reply to my voicemails, emails and just basically stopped.
Unreliable company that makes promises they can't fulfill. It's a small fish in a big pond and it can't cope with the current. They claim they have lots of staff qualified to different but high standards. Everyone I met was definitely not highly qualified and from personal experience, they don't actually have many staff.
1 member of admin was very rude, totally incompetent and inefficient.

Esmero Care have been the most professional and sensitive service for my dad and for us. It has been a very difficult time for dad with his developing dementia that has presented some difficult challenges. Sam from Esmero has been there every step of the way and has been a rock for dad in his overnight care and has shown support and care with a very professional approach that has helped to maintain dad’s dignity and safety at all times. I would highly recommend Esmero Care as James has always been there for advice or to answer questions and work flexibly to our needs in a timely and balanced way, which has helped to achieve the best for dad. I don’t tend to write reviews but I felt this is an important one, for anybody who rally needs help, for people out there needing a carer.

I have so many complex physical and psychological conditions that I thought when my social worker spoke with James at ESMERO they wouldn’t be able to help me. I was just stressing about it all so much. I also thought it would be a long drawn out process over many days and meetings, all of which would cause my mental health to erode even more, after what these last carers I’d had dumped on me t the agency I was leaving.
But no, these guys hav moved at such a quick speed to get the right kind of help to me as soon as possible... I couldn’t believe it, partly because my self-esteem has been knocked right down by this last agency unfortunately.

But I had talked with James last week, and when I did I couldn’t believe how easy he is to talk to, how understanding, interested, and wanting to help... resulting in James & his colleagues having Already today old me some about my new carer who is going to be starting with men; she has had a debrief on everything to do with me too.

The way ESMERO and James have treated me with such respect, such willingness to find exactly the right care package, and to put the work in to sort so much out so quickly.

If you are reading this, and you’re needing help, you’re needing carers, please do get in touch with ESMERO. You have nothing to lose and SO much to gain.
For the first time in the longest time of feeling such hopelessness, I finally feel some hope.

And the fact that I have severe social anxiety disorder and Yet am looking forward to meeting says so much about how everyone, (James & his colleagues, my social worker etc), are really helping me through this step by step.

I sincerely cannot recommend ESMERO highly enough.
All my thanks to all involved once again. 🙂

Called me daily until I set up an assessment with them and assured me they could meet my Mother in Law’s needs and could clean part of my house. Trialled someone who took her mask off during the 2 hour session and when I complained they said that I lied on my MILs care assessment and lied about the carer taking her mask off. Handled my complaint very poorly by blaming me for not making her leave/ telling her to put it on when it’s part of her job to wear it at all times. Also threatened to complain to the local Social Services about my grandmas care when.
Really poor service and just wanted to fight when I complained. Do not recommend

Hello Shamina Thank you for your review. Further to our conversation on Monday 22nd February, I discussed with you that the feedback from our carer, who visited your home on Friday 19th February clearly indicated that the support you requested for your mother-in-law, was actually different to the tasks our carer was asked to carry out. You informed us, during the assessment, that the carer would support your mother-in-law however, what our carer was asked to do was domestic/housekeeping tasks. Based on this, I informed you that the Care Assessment was not an accurate reflection and misleading. Additionally, I discussed with you your email to us requesting a ‘different carer, preferably Polish’. You advised me that you were working and required a cleaner in the house. One again this is very different to the Care Assessment we completed with you on 15 February 2021 where the services discussed focused on supporting your mother-in-law. Reference your comments about PPE, you have acknowledged that our carer arrived in PPE. We have also confirmed with our carer that she was wearing PPE. Our policies stipulate that all care/support staff must wear PPE at all times whilst attending calls. As a care provider, we supply all our staff with PPE equipment. All our staff are tested every 14 days for COVID and many of our staff, out working in the community, have already had their first COVID vaccination. If the carer did remove her mask at any point during her two-hour visit, then the onus was on you to request she put her mask back on and inform us immediately. When I received the email from you requesting a Polish carer, you did not give any feedback regarding our carer’s visit or raise any issues regarding PPE. Your email and telephone call came only after I sent you our carer’s feedback. Additionally, you informed us, on the day we visited your home, that you are seeking support from the Local Authority for your mother-in-law. As you have already submitted a complaint to the CQC regarding our staff not wearing PPE, we will be required, as part of safeguarding, to share information with the CQC and the local Adult Social Services. Finally, you used the word ‘blame’ in your feedback. I want to assure you, that as a care provider, we neither want nor wish to insinuate blame of any kind. That is not what we are here for. Our key priority is to ensure the well-being and safety of our Service Users by delivering services requested during the Care Assessment.

No we cannot provide services remotely or online.
