What inspired you to start your own business?
I am qualified to give advice on Equity Release / Lifetime Mortgages as well as Mortgage Advice.
I set up Elsby Associates in 2005 based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire and we have grown and gained many clients over the years throughout the UK and have helped them achieve their goals.
My background was working for Britannia Building Society for many years where I was trained in Mortgage Advice and then also held various Management positions.
I always wanted to set up on my own and made the decision in 2005 and the rest is history we have grown so much and have clients now all over the UK.

This firm usually charges a fee for mortgage advice. The amount of the fee will depend upon your circumstances but typically this is £495 and will be discussed and agreed with you at the earliest opportunity.
Equity Release / Lifetime Mortgage Advice is specialised and our typical fee for this is £995 which is payable on completion only.
Insurance for Life, Critical Illness, Income Protection
Life Insurance is a great way to help protect your family from the financial worries they could face if you were no longer around. Life insurance pays out a cash lump sum or regular income if you die within the term of the policy. Cover is usually on a level or decreasing basis which we will review with you.
Critical Illness
If the worst happens and you're diagnosed with a serious illness, it's important to make sure you're covered against the financial impact it could have on your family.
Critical Illness and Serious Illness insurance policies pay out a cash lump sum or a regular income when you are diagnosed with a particular illness or suffer injury from a serious accident specified in the policy terms.
Income Protection Insurance is designed to typically protect up to 60-70% of your gross salary dependent on provider if you are unable to work due to accident or sickness and, in some cases, unemployment.
Elsby Associates can talk you through the options available from our panel of well known insurers and advise on the right policy for you. Whatever your situation, it will give you peace of mind to know you’re making the right choices. We do not charge a fee for arranging insurance policies.

You have the option to have the interest rolled up into the loan, or you can pay the interest each month. You can also 'ring-fence' part of the property value to ensure you leave a legacy to your family if required.
All our schemes are approved by the Equity Release Council. Every Equity Release scheme we offer meets strict standards to protect you.
Equity Release will reduce the value of your estate and may affect your entitlement to means-tested benefits and tax status.
We charge a fee for Equity Release and this is £995 which is only payable on completion.
