An incredible space filled with inspiring people. The atmosphere of the Flour Mill is perfectly suited for folk who want to get their head down and power through tasks, whilst also providing the perfect opportunity to collaborate with some incredible people who just happen to pop in whilst you're there! I used the collaborative space, which was a welcome change from my desk at home. Teas, coffees, biscuits and networking - absolutely wonderful. More...

Was up in Dundee dropping my daughter at Uni and needed a space to do some work for my family history business. Flour Mill was ideal. Facilities were first class and Rebecca was very welcoming. Loads of coffee and even chocolate biscuits!! Would not hesitate to use again and wish my own city, Stirling had a similar facility to use! More...

WOW is the most appropriate word for my first session. Emma was in a word BRILLIANT …. I honestly did not think that I would be as open and as talkative as I was going into this… but Emma made me feel safe and comfortable and I truly could not recommend Educating Minds enough… Looking forward to seeing where my journey takes me… ❤️

If you want top quality office space, right in the centre of Dundee, then you need to check out The Flour Mill. I moved into my office space in July 2018 and was instantly made to feel very welcome. In December 2020 when I needed a larger office space, the team at the Flour Mill were really flexible with me and I was able to upgrade to a larger space in the building. The FM team put on regular social events and meet-ups, which is great for meeting with the other businesses in the building. They are always asking for feedback on how they can improve things and are always looking at ways to make the Flour Mill experience better and better. If you are looking for office space in Dundee, then I highly recommend that you pay a visit to The Flour Mill and have a chat with the team there to organise a tour of the building. More...

Perfect co-working space in the heart of Dundee. Spacious desks for independent working and great facilities (kitchenette with free tea and coffee! ). It has a relaxed and cosy vibe and the staff are really helpful and friendly. It's an ideal space for people working remotely in need of a change of scenery or looking for a more social environment. Also a really lovely, sunny space thanks to the big windows that let in plenty of sunlight during the day. I would definitely recommend it for freelance or remote workers looking for a hot desk set-up in Dundee. I just hope the idea catches on quickly and hope to see one in Perth soon too! More...

What do you love most about your job?
Being able to listen and support clients in a safe, non-judgemental way is a very important skill to have in a therapeutic practice. It something that I do at all times. Building hope and showing clients that there can be different ways to achieve what they want in life is a true gift of therapy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Being able to provide a service so that those who need access to mental wellbeing quickly can get help sooner and find ways to recovery, growth and building on skills to deal with stress and challenges. By helping people move through the phases of well-being improvement, coaching helps people leave ruminating behind and a shift to a better place on the well being continuum.
Why should our clients choose you?
I help to support people to be the best possible version of themselves, whilst implementing a framework of wellness planning and goal setting. My sessions are practical and the pluralistic approach I take means that there are choices and no one way to growth. I maintain an ethical practice at all times and always consider GDPR framework, keeping my supervision and continued professional development current and up to date. But most importantly I create a safe, empathetic, non judgemental space for listening and talking and moving forward.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I provide online sessions using either Zoom or Teams.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Sessions are mostly online. When Face to Face sessions do take place I adhere to the covid hygiene cleaning policies and mask wearing when required.
All about EM
Life’s challenges are not easy, and I understand how hard it can be to find a way to move forward, away from dark thoughts and into positive behaviour. I work with people to help them have a better life, so that they can create a healthy balance meeting their emotional needs to maintain their own wellbeing, or perhaps those in their family or care. I work with people who are struggling with stress, anxiety, fears, and phobias; building hope and creating a safe space to share and be heard.
During the sessions I use Neuro (the mind), Linguistic (the language) and Programming (patterns of thought and behaviour), Cognitive Behavioural ideas and Positive Psychology, these combined techniques create lasting and effective changes for the client. Most importantly I teach coping strategies and grounding techniques for ways for dealing with overwhelm and negative thinking.
I also work with Young People (11 – 18-year-olds) working on building self-esteem and teaching them ways to deal with bullying. increase confidence and learn self-awareness. During these young people sessions, I also focus on developing learning strategies for important exams and how to become more assertive communicators.
The sessions can be delivered in person or online. These sessions are structured in a way that will have the client feeling more empowered and go away with more choices around working with their reality to achieve positive outcomes. Listening in a non-judgemental way and building trust is very important in my practise. I will support my clients to set goals, help them to access resources that they need to bring about required change, agree on strategies that work towards these goals which then enables them to rehearse success. The principal behind rehearsal is that 'the brain tries to bring about what it focuses on!'
I maintain ethical boundaries and GDPR framework and follow the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Association for Neurolinguistic Programming (ANLP) professional standards and practise.
Ready to listen and support you.
