Went for a golf and spa day with my husband - the spa treatments were absolutely fantastic (massage and facial) - Chloe, my therapist, was amazing � - reception staff were very welcoming and helpful from the start.

Loved the relaxation room, although one minor thing is how loudly you can hear banging from the gym equipment in the gym area next door. This could also be heard in the treatment room.

I loved the experience and the staff were very helpful when another guest mentioned the noise.

Played golf on the West Course. All the staff where very professional and very welcoming, the food was very good (breakfast). The course was in good condition especially after the very hot dry spell. Had a wonderful 3 days at East Sussex National with my daughter who was playing in a Competition there. Made to feel very welcome by all the staff and members, whether they be bar staff, green keepers, marshalls, starters or in the pro shop and also the members. Course was in excellent condition after the poor weather and a great test of golf. Would definitely go back and recommend anybody to pay a visit. More...

Lovely setting in a beautiful location. Rooms were fantastic, very specious, clean and modern. Food in lounge/bar area was very good and well priced. Lovely hotel and two fantastic golf courses. The only let down was the weather which rained all night. The courses though hold up well in wet conditions. The two courses offer a range of holes with some of the shortest being only 90 yards. The greens are fast and hold the ball true making putting a great challenge. Had a great relaxing spa day here. Wonderful facilities with caring, helpful staff. Massage and facial left me feeling very relaxed. Tasty lunch was followed by a laze by the pool, then a leisurely swim and a dip in the jacuzzi before indulging in a delicious cream tea. All in all an excellent experience. Hope to repeat it soon! Had the luxury of staying in a suite. The room was enormous and the balcony amazing. Had a lovely relaxing evening. The room would be amazing in the summer so you could enjoy the balcony.

I got married here back in September with my wife and couldn't fault the staff. Paul and his team on the day were absolutely fantastic; they kept everything running smoothly from start to finish, and the food was absolutely spot on. As you'd expect, we'd eaten there a few times in the run up to the big day , but never once did we get a duff meal, or poor service, everyone was friendly and smiley, even more so when they knew it was your wedding day.
Although we didn't play golf, the courses were well maintained and beautifully green, I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking on that front, but they looked the part.
Lastly the rooms, we had a couple of changing rooms on the day, which were standard doubles, they were roomy and clean, the en suite bathroom was nice and bright with good sizes mirrors and facilities! On the big night we got the honeymoon suite, which was exactly what you'd expect, if anything, even more so. i've lived in smaller flats I think! The bed was super comfy and the view out over the course was amazing! Not that i'm planning on getting married again, i'd definitely recommend it as a venue, and I think myself and my wife will be going back more often! Once again we had an excellent stay here. It's a lovely hotel, with great facilities. There was a definite problem with the housekeeping team who had serviced our room. ..they tried to squeeze pur duvet into a smaller sized duvet cover (how did they think that was going to work ) and our bath had not been adequately cleaned. Fabulous restaurant. Great staff. Fresh well presented food. Wonderful views whilst dining. Only draw back - can be chilly on winter days as heating is not powerful enough to keep the place comfortably warm!

My son and his new wife recently got married at East Sussex national .

Two very nice courses. The West is more defined and more difficult. Hotel rooms are nice and comfortable. Food a bit average. Reception areas lack atmosphere.

The golf courses were in excellent condition.
The room was clean and tidy and the shower was 2nd to none.
The set menu ( choice with the golf package) was restrictive and the portions were small but the food was well presented and tasty.
Breakfast seemed chaotic because the service area was restrictive and the layout did not lend itself to an orderly flow.
Surely there is a better way or appliance for a group of people standing around to make/ get toast.
At any one time the toaster is occupied/ not accessible because 2 of your customers are standing in front of it putting their slices of bread
Back through 2/3 Times to get them brown, while a large queue stand around getting frustrated.
I think the breakfast area set up would work much better if were placed directly outside the kitchen doors, in that way the items could be replenished more readily because they would be more easily monitored.
Also the breakfast would be closer to the tables which would make the service more efficient.
The staff everywhere were very polite and helpful.
My overall experience of the complex was very good and I would definitely come back.

Fantastic location, excellent ground's. Went there for a spa day. Started the day walking around some of the golf course (through the public walkways). We then used the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. All in great condition. The day ended with a lovely head, neck and shoulder massage. The espa spa was fantastic.
