What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Having a good understanding of light, and empathy with the subject matter.
Knowledge of different techniques and developing a candid style which tells a story.
Consistently high quality control and project management.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What kind of 'feel have you in mind for the project.
How can we work within your budget to deliver a quality product.
What is the desired delivery format and timescale, and can we add a little sparkle to the finished project.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the variety of the day to day, and the problem solving aspect. Photography is a perfect storm of science and art, which suits my character and background. A lot of my personal work is based on music, books or films, and strives to develop a definite atmosphere and storytelling element.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I caught the photography bug at an early age, and gradually realized that I had acquired a lot of skills, purely by hard work and trial and error. People seem to like the images, so really the job chose me.
Why should our clients choose you?
Over 20 years of experience with a myriad of published work, and excellent client base.
I have worked for many agencies, magazines, and website companies over the years and have a knack for understanding and delivering a brief.
Clients include Heatsave Group, Retties, Marketing Concepts, Bryant and Cairns, Merlin, Caledonian Brewery, Intercell Biomedical and many more.
I will give you a fair assessment and quote for the work, or training, and suggest solutions to any tricky problems you may need to solve.
