Domestic Air Solutions

From the start Ryan was helpful, enthusiastic and answered all my questions, (I had many!) There was a huge choice of units at various price points on offer.

We had to wait a few weeks for work to start, but that was OK, we were in the middle of summer. Normally when somebody can’t start work straight away, it means they are busy and if they are busy, they are obviously good!

Paul and Will installed our system. We opted for a Panasonic system with 3 indoor and 1 outdoor unit. Paul and Will were very neat and tidy, very helpful and accommodating. All we did was keep the tea flowing! Another bonus was I was expecting to need to redecorate after fitting, but no. Everything was neatly hidden. I had touch up one wall, that was it!

At the time of writing, we have had the system around 2 months. It has been used much more than we anticipated. Not only does it keep the house cool, but it also keeps the atmosphere comfortable. It also seems to reduce dust and eliminate outside odours.

I did have some concern over running costs, but the system costs a fraction of what a gas boiler would cost to run for the same amount of time. I have also been considering trying the units out as heating in the winter!

Air conditioning is an expensive luxury, but we considered it an investment in our home. We are having more and more hot spells of weather and with a young child, this system has been so valuable. Now is the time to investigate it, Domestic Air Conditioning are an excellent company to work with and provided the best value I could find. Air conditioning units at the time of writing do not attract VAT which is another huge bonus!

Ryan was really knowledgeable about the products he supplies and gave us a few different options and quotes before we agreed to go with him. He wasn't able to come himself to fit the AC unit but his colleague Dave was really good. He came at the time he said and worked through the day in some really hot conditions. The work was really tidy and Dave ensured we were happy with everything before he finished. I would highly recommend Domestic Air Solutions to anyone who is considering getting AC for their home and if we decide to do upstairs, I won't be calling anyone else. More...

We had ducted air con installed in our bedroom.

All round really good experience, Shane and Conrad were incredibly friendly and explained everything clearly. They got the work done in good time and cleaned up well after themselves.

A few small negatives, although nothing major:

We booked the job a month or two in advance but there was no communication in the run up to explain what would be happening on what day or when to expect their arrival.

Our loft insulation has been left bunched up in places where it's been moved around for the air con unit which we'll need to sort out.
