Had the absolute pleasure of eating THE most wonderful food prepared and cooked by The Divine Food Co namely Tony and Imelda at the magnificent Cae Mabon Liberating Sexuality Retreat last wkend!
Our 22 piece community worked hard and the beautiful plant based offerings were so welcome and so darn tasty !

Tony and Mel recently prepared and cooked plant based food on a retreat I attended. This isn’t my normal diet but I have to say the dishes were delicious. There were great, well thought out combinations and cooked to perfection. I eat dairy free and always struggle with desserts but they came up trumps. Their dishes were so fantastic that it gave me inspiration to try and incorporate changes at home. What’s your signature dish?
My particular favorite dish that I create regularly is our house Asian noodle salad. This is a sort of fusion of flavour that really goes down well with our customers. It is made from scratch here using fresh ingredients and can be tailored to be either vegan, veggie or can be made with meat. The dish is inspired by my time in Asia. We compliment our finger and fork buffets with this dish. We are also particularly fond of our Paneer Masla curry and also heartily recommend our Pulled Pork with brioche rolls. Both appear to absolute winners on the hot food front. Finally we also recommend our BBQ menu. We make our own burgers for this and they always go down a storm!!
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Firstly its a chat about expectations. Even for a small budget we can usually work out a way of doing something really nice and authentic for our customers. Sometimes four of five simple good and quite basic ingredients can make a great dish. Secondly its always about planning and preparation. If these are right and the customer is engaged in the process it means that food will be special. A bit of too-ing and fro-ing on e mails over a day or three and a few phone calls can help with getting a menu just right.
What do you love most about your job?
That I have a ten mile bike ride to and from work. And that we can have a fresh salad everyday after work has finished!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our desire to provide a good service in terms of food and treating people the right way. And, also as we like working for ourselves.
Why should our clients choose you?
We have set our standards pretty high and this includes working hard to maintain our reputation. But I guess its mostly because we love what we do.
