Derby museums punch significantly above their weight. Fantastic collections and public focused exhibitions. Great day out.

Fascinating place to take the grandson learning about years gone past . He couldn’t believe woolly mammoths roamed Derbyshire 👍

First visit, only went to get a coffee but i was very surprised how light and airy the whole place was. Some lovely items around, will definitely be going back to visit the museum itself. Cafe was lovely and Coffee was tip top. More...

Deeply saddened by the aggressive nature of a staff member who thought it appropriate to challenge a vulnerable visitor for not wearing a mask whom was exempt.

Really enjoyed our visit to the museum of making today - super friendly staff and a totally different approach to showing the objects and sharing their stories.

We visited museum if making this morning and Derby museum and art gallery this afternoon. (myself and my 9 Yr old son). We had a lovely day, the museum wasn't very busy so we wandered around. We've been before but my son loves the stuffed animals, skeletons and the mummies. The exhibition of photos from lockdown around the world was interesting and thought provoking. It was very hot inside today and could have done with some fans. More...
