What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The camera is in my head ! I will look at the lighting, the best angles and then I'm ready to take Images !
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
My first question is normally where is the location and if its an event such as a Corporate or Private occasion the numbers of guests.I will ask (politely and in confidence) a guide to the client's budget.It's best to be up front !
What do you love most about your job?
I love being creative and making a photo where at first glance there is no picture ! When Photographing buildings I will study the weather forecast.A day of sunshine really does make a big difference to good photography.The challenge is always keeping my client in mind and what they need from an image and then I will do my best to take a decent photo ! I started my Photo career when I was 12 when I won a photo competition.My enthusiasm is still as strong !
What inspired you to start your own business?
The offer from my brother when I was 18 to run a new concept fast Printing and Photo store was an offer I couldn't refuse!

I believe I am a ' people person ' first, then a decent Photographer !

My process is of course taking the images then getting back to base and start the careful editing in ( Lightroom software ) on my MAC computer.Then I normally send my clients their images via wetransfer which means that they can receive high quality files.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
At the height of the pandemic I couldn't photograph events...there were non.But I was able to switch my offering to web designers who were building web sites where I could photograph mainly outside.As the Pandemic now seems very much under control if my client insists on me using a mask I will do so.
