What do you love most about your job?
meeting people and embracing the challenge of designing gardens to their own personal ideals. Every client has a different dream for their garden, in a different setting with different challenges. No two designs are ever the same.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The freedom of creativity and being able to work on projects form inception to completion, which often isnt possible when being a part of a bigger organisation.

I am an experienced designer with well rounded experience in design, construction and horticulture.
before qualifying as a designer I was a gardener for 6 years, a tree surgeon, a landscaper and my previous career was in construction detailing and management.

since working through the Covid pandemic, I've been able to design gardens remotely or with minimal site visits when necessary. With close collaboration with the client using photo's, video footage, zoom presentations and landscapers that are local to the project, it is possible to create great gardens remotely. In my previous employment we often designed gardens abroad in this way even before the pandemic.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Zoom has become a very useful tool in avoiding the need for face to face contact for presentations and client meetings. When visiting a client, facemasks and the avoidance of physical contact can be implemented if preferred for whatever reason.

Planting Design
If you have already had your garden landscaped but the landscaper doesn't have the horticultural knowledge to meet your planting requirements. We can create planting plans to suit the aspect, soil type and style that you prefer. This is becoming more and more tricky as we face climate change and good plant knowledge coupled with soil improvement and watering are essential in the establishment of the garden. Not to mention the importance of beneficial insects and the avoidance of plants that rely on pesticides to keep them healthy. We can guide you through the process and help to avoid unnecessary losses and disappointments!
After Care
After the project is complete, the ongoing maintenance is critical in establishing the planting and controlling the balance of the plant combinations as the garden develops. We provide written feed back and maintenance notes on an ongoing basis to ensure the garden thrives moving forward.
