What do you love most about your job?
It's a passion not a job. I love facing a challenge and finding the solution.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been self employed for over 30 years so know how to run my own business. I have traced my own family for over 40 years and been a volunteer in many associations and events in the Genealogy world. I thought it was about time I put my expertise to work.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm approachable, professional and will give an honest opinion. I will not make promises I cannot keep. I will supply the evidence for my findings which will allow the client to pursue further enquiries in the future should they wish to take their tree further back, sideways or even downwards to find living relatives.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I am happy to supply online and remote services. Initial response will be via email and telephone but I can offer facetime/zoom/teams etc if the client prefers. Also face to face if this is geographically possible.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Most of the services will be remote so this is not a concern. However any face to face contact will be made with the current COVID-19 protocols in place and agreed before the event.
FAMILY TREE RESEARCH
From an initial consultation (free) I will advise clients on the way forward, supplying sensible and achievable advice.
I cannot perform miracles where records are unavailable but will be honest about possible outcomes and involve the client at all times in the process of tracing their family tree
RECORD / LOCATION SEARCHING
I can undertake visits to local archives, cemeteries, family homes etc to supply photographs, transcripts and/or video evidence as appropriate.
