The staff smiled as we walked in and acknowledged us straight away, we ordered and waited while the fish was cooked. Everyone who walked in were greeted with a smile. The food was ready and worth the 8minute wait, the fish was perfect as were the chips. The young ladies working tonight are a credit to the shop and we will be doing the 35minute journey again to taste this lovely food. Thank you. More...

Great food as always! However was a bit disappointed with the Light Bite option as I was told by the girl serving that I wasn’t allowed to swap the mushy peas for beans despite them both being the same price, and also already potted up into portions according to her. I ended up leaving the peas despite technically paying for them so I didn’t waste the resources but I just didn’t understand a like-for-like swap not being allowed. Cox’s at the Lighthouse is great, food cooked fresh with no greasy aftertaste and the staff are very friendly. We really love Cox's at the Lighthouse, Really friendly owner and staff who can't do enough for you. Really lovely fish and chips, and lots of amazing options for me as a vegetarian, so many i struggle to choose, as they are all so nice. Lots of choice on the kids menu also for our little girl. We are fussy about chips, they are often greasy or overcooked from other chip shops, but they are the best chips from Cox's. As a northerner, I know the importance of good fish and chips. Cox's used to be in letchworth and loved my weekly visit, so as I was passing nearby I thought I would call in and try out the new place. I knew I wouldn't be disappointed! Great friendly service, this afternoon, and still as yummy as ever! I will be calling again when I'm passing by. 5* fresh food, clean, bright and modern, as always.
