They are managing the property on behalf of our landlord. Their service has always been excellent and responsive to any issues. Today however they did a house inspection. When they made the appointment I noted that it coincided with my Birthday.To my delightful surprise they came around for the inspection, armed with Birthday card, signed by almost everyone in the company. We are first time buyers; our mortgage advisor and solicitors were both Country Wide. This was a stress-free process for us and supported every step of the way, phone calls where always answered and any forms queries were answered ad addressed promptly and no delay in form filling and completing and was moved in within 4 months of putting in the offer to the house. I would have given a 5 star review however they failed to allocate my case to the legal team following estate agent instruction which delayed the process by around 3 weeks. Other than that I found the company to be faultless. Mike and Adenike were both very efficient, helpful and responsive to messages. They always got back to me quickly when required.The sale completed within 6 weeks which I was very happy with. More...

Liam was brilliant from start to finish. Our personal circumstances were a bit complicated with my partner having run his limited company for less than a year and working offshore in international waters but Liam was proficient in finding us an array of excellent mortgage deals which worked for us. . Liam always took time and attention to ensure we had full comprehensive understanding of our offer and the next steps in the process. From securing our AIP to getting the keys to our home was less than 6 weeks and Liam played an integral role in making that happen. Can't thank him enough and would highly recommend his services!! After reading a lot of reviews i was a bit sceptical about the service here, however, our late father had left them to deal with the house sale. I never normally write reviews but feel the need to this time. This company was chosen to value my house. They rang to book an appointment which I did for 3 weeks from the date they rang as it was over Christmas and was out of London . They then called me every working day asking to book the appointment sooner, I mean every day! I explained the same thing each time I was not in London so unable to change the appointment, to which the replied , I don’t need to be there & can leave my keys for the surveyor to pick up which I found really uneasy thinking I had been asked to leave my keys for a stranger to go into my property. I said it wasn’t an option , again every day the called to tell me the client had instructed them to book an earlier appointment which isn’t true just an intimidation tactic to get an earlier booking! When they did view their property he was there for 15 mins, and left asking no questions. I then got a valuation which under valued my property! I rang to ask to speak to someone and told they can’t help! When I get the report I find out they messed up my lease hold saying it is 85 years left when in fact I have over 900 years and part freeholder! Then they say they can’t change it! This obviously has an effect in my valuation which led to me not being able to get my mortgage and having to find thousands of pounds. I find this ridiculous and really bad as they are messing with people finance and lives and running risk of people loosing their homes!!! Countrywide you messed up my mortgage application because you under valued my property and will not take responsibility for you actions!!! More...

The company was empolyed by our mortgage lender to carry out their valuation, and they suggested to go with the same firm as it would have been quicker and probably cheaper. I am glad I didn't read all these reviews otherwise I wouldn't have appointed them, but I actually had a very satisfactory experience.They called me the day after the mortgage proposal was approved, they booked a HomeBuyer survey for me (explaning me on the phone all the differences to other products they offer) for the next working day. I received all the papers to be signed online just a few hours after our conversation on the phone. Since I wasn't sure about something I called the customer service line the day after: they answered the phone after 3 rings, the lady was able to find our booking in the system and to confirm things with me, such as day and time of the booking and what kind of survey it was going to be.The surveyor called both me and my husband the morning prior to his inspection at the property we are buying, went into details about what he was going to do and not do, and asked us if we had any specific concern or issue for him to be aware of. I am not aware of how things went at the property as I wasn't there, but the vendors didn't complain so I assume all was fairly done.We received the survey report by email 2 days later (survey booked on Friday, survey carried out on Monday, report received on Wednesday). It seems to me to be detailed and inclusive (all considered, as they don't remove things, they won't give you any costs ideas etc, but this is the same for every company you'll go with). Since the report highlighted some high damp recordings in some areas of the walls I called him on the phone after having received the report and he wasn't bothered and was happy to answer my questions. He advised us to get a damp specialist company involved to have a more specific idea of the works needed (and costs), which we did, and apparently it's nothing too serious. The guy from the damp company confirmed all he said and wrote.So I had the impression he was being careful and highlighted things even if they weren't too critical. For the time being I must say I have been really satisfied with their service, I will update my review if anything bad should turn out in the near future as we are still completing our purchase. I used Countrywide to do all the legal work when selling my property a few hurdles were thrown but we found our advisor Gethin really helpful and straight forward if he couldn’t sort something he told us how to, we were sat waiting for our buyers legal team for weeks with Gethin chasing them daily Neelofer Al-Zayyan

I was nervous about the surveying process having read lots of negative reviews about the company, after they’d been selected for me by nationwide. However I would go as far as to say the service was excellent. Country wide contacted me around 4 working days after submitting our mortgage application. They contacted me the day before our survey for a courtesy call and to check if we had any specific concerns. I shared a few of our worries which the surveyor noted down and investigated as part of the survey. I was unable to meet the surveyor due to work commitments but shared my work break times (I’m a teacher) and he contacted me during these times to have a chat about his findings. He gave me a great summary which abated any nerves. He said I’d receive the report within 7 working days...I actually received it the next morning. Most of the reports I’ve read of late reports are Just because people haven’t signed terms and conditions- so check/read your emails properly. Great service! More...
