Counselling
The lady was very empathetic. She was kind and understanding. I am looking forward to working with her.
What do you love most about your job?
I love witnessing people come to a better understanding and acceptance of who they are, so they can make the changes they want to make and move forward with their lives with greater confidence and self awareness
What inspired you to start your own business?
I like people, so I don't like witnessing them suffering or in confusion, so when I first sought therapy for myself many years ago when I was struggling at the end of a relationship, it had such a profoundly positive impact on me I then decided to train as a therapist myself so I could hopefully make a difference for others
Why should our clients choose you?
You can talk to me in confidence without feeling adversely judged; I have a gentle compassionate way of working with you so together we can find a best way forward for you. I have an integrated approach that includes Person-centred therapy at the core along with Existential and Gestalt therapy which keeps my practice relevant to your individual needs, does not preach and respects you for your unique way of being and experience of life.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes, secure online connection via Zoom or Skype video link. I also offer telephone counselling therapy.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Whereas I used to see people in person, due to the pandemic I now practice exclusively online. Apart from the obvious advantage of keeping both you and myself from risk of infection from Covid, it provides the added bonus of there being no need for you to travel to see me.
Anxiety
If you're feeling under pressure and anxious about your present situation, worried about events from the past or anxieties and "what if.." thinking about what hasn't yet or may never happen, talking things through in therapy and exploring those troubling thoughts and feelings can be the spark for positive change
Depression and low mood
Depression, often linked with anxiety and feeling unmotivated as if nothing is worth putting in the effort for can create a downward spiral of negative thoughts and feelings where there is a part of you saying something like "what's the point". Talking things through in therapy can free you from that 'stuckness' so you can reclaim your life and energy
Bereavement and loss
