We had an invite off our friends to join them for breakfast. Lovely breakfast food always hot. Big mention to all the staff especially Sally Anne for helping my wife with getting breakfast has there were steps to the breakfast section. Customer service second to none.

Easy to get to off the M4. Check in process was easy, nice large rooms with spacious bathroom, tea making facility. The gym was well stocked even if unusual in layout, the spa/swim area was spot in (nice steam room/sauna/jacuzzi) with the pool temp just right for a winter morning. ||Breakfast was quite sumptuous - very friendly and helpful restaurant staff btw- and the checkout time of 1200 works quite well after a good morning meal!||The hotel is next to a small shopping centre which can come in handy and a Tesco petrol pump where the prices are very cheap!! ||There are some nice National Properties nearby, and this hotel makes a good base to go exploring from. Stayed in this hotel for a recent function and found the service from the staff at all levels to be exceptional. The hotel is situated at Culver-house cross on the outskirts of Cardiff with good access from the M4 and within easy reach of the City and Bay Area. The hotel has good parking for guests. Reception is right by the main door and this leads to a bar area, lounge and restaurants which over look a ornamental lake. The accommodation itself was very good and catered for most needs some rooms were dated and in need of refurbishment but the renovated rooms were of a high modern standard. The breakfast was buffet style but with a good variety, lunch in the bar was ok but the food in the banqueting Hall was very good given the numbers that were attending. I have come to stay ar the copthorne Hotel for the weekend and watch the rugby, as a first time visitor I am impressed by all the staff from front of house to chamber service. My experience at breakfast was first class, I was Awre of staff interactions with patrons and they impressed me, I heard others complimenting too. Sally in particular made our experience really positive and went out of her way to help and interact as patrons came in and left. You have a very strong team and obviously a great leader by example. Recently stayed here for a work conference. Very impressed with the hotel. Very clean and friendly staff, epsically the restaurant staff. As all the rooms were booked I was given the accessible room, the room is big and nice, with a great view of the lake. The hotel did an amazing job with our conference. The hotel was adequate for our needs good position a little bit noisy with road traffic ,the rooms a little bit dated our room 404 the floors seemed to breaking up under the tatty carpet. We would use this hotel again

We were a bit concerned about staying here after reading some reviews. The hotel was fantastic though, lovely big room, comfy beds and nice gym and pool. The staff were all very nice and we felt very welcome. We only spent one night here and then stayed at the Hilton in the city centre, in terms of value for money, space and facilities - I would say the Copthorne wins hands down. Stayed many times and on this occasion it was for a friends 50th. Rooms are clean and roomy, with everything you need. Excellent location for visitors to the area to base themselves. Staff could not be more friendly and welcoming which is exactly how it should be. Pool and facilities are good, towels provided and a good selection of fitness equipment. We had lunch, evening meal and the breakfast and couldn't find anything to really complain about. Where do I start? A little under a year ago, my husband and I began to plan our wedding with the hotel. Lilly, our event organiser has been an absolute star, and has helped create such a perfect day for us. She was always ready to help, and nothing was too big a task, kept in regular contact and we felt confident we made the right choice in our venue. The night before the wedding, myself and my two daughters stayed at the hotel,the staff were friendly, attentive and made sure we were properly spoilt and looked after. The room was perfect, the bed was comfortable, and enough space for everyone to congregate. The morning of the wedding, whilst nervously preparing for the day ahead, Lilly and her team were simply brilliant. Reassurance and warmth was felt and I couldn't have asked for a better team. My husband reports that the Master of Ceremonies (Gareth?) Helped make our 12yr old son, who was best man and shaking in his boots, feel much more at ease and looked after everyone before my arrival, then kept everything in order throughout the day. The wedding itself went by in a flash, but all of the staff, were fabulous. So friendly and helpful that they seemed to go above and beyond and both David and I couldn't have wanted for anything. The day was an absolute success and this is largely down to the staff at the hotel. Even the morning after, when all was said and done, the staff were still looking after us and so friendly. Sally (front of house) has looked after us a few times for meetings and food tasting prior and then breakfast the next day - she is also a delight and so helpful. So Thank you to every member of staff, be it receptionists, bar staff, waiters, event organisers and housekeeping (the swans and petals!). Little dated but an enjoyable stay. Very good value for money when compared to a premier inn or travelodge, would chose the copthorne over both every time. ||Friendly & helpful staff, nice size room the only criticism would be the lighting in the room.
