Adam came to the house and cooked for our anniversary. Our starters were delicious; salmon cured in beetroot and blackberry on ciabatta. For mains we had scallops with crisp bacon, pea purée and sweet potato mash; herb and honeyed rolled rack of lamb, potato dauphinois, seasonal veg and red wine jus. For desert we shared a chocolate and orange tart with clotted cream and edible glass shards; Mille fuille with mixed berry coulis and seasonal fruit. We hired Come Dine with You Private Catering to provide canapés for a family gathering at home after our Civil Wedding Ceremony in Horsham on Sunday 5 May 2019.
I expected Adam to nip round and deliver a few platters wrapped in cling film ready for us to unwrap and set our whenever we were ready. Imagine my surprise (and delight) when he brought out his professional pots and pans to start cooking up his delicious canapés in our kitchen before laying them out like mini pieces of art on a selection of oriental style platters and bowls.
Not only did the canapés look beautiful, they also tasted amazing - so much so that family members (and the photographer!!) couldn’t keep their hands off them until Adam has the chance to set them all out and take some pics of his amazing handiwork.
Not only would I recommend and use Come Dine with You again and again - I can’t wait to!
