What makes a great website?
A great website is one that works best for your visitors. A business website should display your brand, help your visitors find the information they want and easily complete the required steps to becoming a customer of client. A decent website should work as part of your main marketing funnel.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
We ask our clients about Their Brand, Their customers, Their Goals, Their Product & Services, Their current marketing activity, Their Timeframes and budgets but the most important question is "How can we help?"
Describe your creative process.
We've been working in marketing for a long time now and we know what works. We have designed our own framework which helps us choose where to start with a new campaign and highlights the strongest and weakest areas of an existing marketing campaign.
Our framework covers:
• The foundations - Make your offering work and include things like your branding, website and overall funnel
• Audience development - Building trust through inbound content marketing
• Community - Build a community that trusts you and wants to work with you
• Advocation - Getting recommendations and referrals from your clients
• Lead generation - Bringing more people into the funnel through outbound marketing
• Conversion optimisation - improve the percentage of conversions
Every business is different. With different target audiences and sales goals, the approach we use for each heading will be different from one business to another. Over time your business will evolve and grow so your marketing plan will have to adapt to fit.
We focus on the areas that need the most work first, bearing in mind that one area often influences the effectiveness of another. The amount of areas and work we can do in a given timeframe is dependent on your marketing budget.
We set goals that work for you so we can track our efforts and meet with you at least once monthly to discuss the month's results and go through your reports.
We sometimes also arrange a weekly call to touch base and ensure we're keeping our finger on the pulse. That way you can let us know if something comes up or is changing. We also encourage you to call or email to keep us up to date with anything going on your end that we might not otherwise know about.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
We normally organise a call at the start of a project so we can go over everything. We ask questions about your Brand, your customers, your Goals, your products & Services, your current marketing activity and your timeframes & budgets.
It's sometimes helpful if you know the metrics of your current marketing and sales activity like for example how many followers you have on social, how many visitors you get to your website each month, what your average sale cost is and how many you normally make in a month. But this kind of deep-dive information is often stuff we can work out together when we start work.
What do you love most about your job?
I think we all agree that what we love best is working as a team. We've got some very techy people who love working with marketing data and we've got some very creative people who know exactly how to make something look amazing. But it's not until we come together that we really start to see all the cogs in the machine spinning. It's a great feeling and normally a good laugh along the way too!
What inspired you to start your own business?
We started Clockwork Moggy in 2009, during a recession! We wanted to prove that excellent customer service and brilliant results were recession proof and I think we did.
Why should our clients choose you?
I could answer this question by telling you about our long-term happy clients, showing stats and figures about the results we've gotten people and sharing testimonials.
Really though, clients should choose us if they think we're right for the project. If all goes well we'll work with you for a long time so it's important that we get along.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
During Covid we all worked from home. Now that we're back in the office we have sanitation stations around with hand wash etc and door handle protectors.
