About

We make it personal. We like establishing a relationship with our clients, not just the care. We aim to understand what is important to them and their families. We also strive to keep the same carers going to the same clients, so that the relationship is established.

Hi I mlooking for work in care home

Services

Washing, Dressing, Applying Creams, Hair, Teeth, Assistance with Medications like eye drops, having your glasses ready, tidying the bedroom and bathroom.

We aim to let the client choose their own meals, which we readily make for them. We encourage healthy diets like cut up fruit, yoghurts, jellies, and juices.

We will help you move about if we can see you are struggling, or call for extra assistance from other professionals that can refer other equipment. We can call for pendants if you feel insecure once we have left.
We check all moving equipments for breaks, tears, rips or out of order dates before we use them.
If we arrive and you are already on the floor, we will call an ambulance to assist you back up, and give you a thorough check.

Sometimes its nice to get out the house once in a while, and just go to the shops or your favourite restaurant for a meal or some tea. Other times its nice to go try your luck at the Bingo Hall!
Whatever it may be, we can take you there, as a day outing.

Besides leaving your home tidy, you might require that little bit extra done around the house, like dusting, putting the washing on, taking the washing out to dry, ironing, washing or mopping of floors, or running the Hoover over a few carpets.

Sometimes family need to go on holiday and feel that they cannot plan due to no one being able to look after you. We will do that. We will come and discuss with you and your family exactly what your needs are, and make sure you are safe whilst your loved ones are away.

Our carers are trained in a very Advanced Safe Training of Medication Programme, so that they may administer prescribed medications.
They are taught what to look for on the labelled boxes only, and may not take medication from dosset boxes that are not from pharmacies.
We may administer tablets, creams, patches, eye drops, ear drops, Peg Feed, catheter care, and work with controlled drugs.
Missed medications or spilt medications are reported straight away, and advice is sought from either the clients GP, Pharmacist or 111.

There are times when someone knows they have a diagnosis that cannot be cured, but they want to remain at home. Our carer stay at your home 24/7 so that you can be as comfortable as possible. Shifts do get rotated every 2 weeks.

There will be times when people sadly will be slowly slipping away from us due to a diagnosis. It is in times like these, that families will require support, as they have a great deal of distress to cope with.
We still remain with the person, and try and allow the death to be a good and dignified death, with as little pain as possible.

There are a great many Dementia's around, and families sometimes find it difficult to cope with the person. The carers are trained in all kinds of Dementia, and know how to respond to the different sorts of retaliations that may arise.

Sometimes carers are asked to sit at the bedside of someone, due to equipment that may become faulty, or just monitor the person.
This is done to give the family more peace of mind, so that they can rest.
