A week ago I walked into the practice in agony after a weekend of no sleep caused by intensive neck and shoulder pain. Katy put me at ease straight away and after 3 sessions of physio and acupuncture I feel so much better and am sleeping again without all the pain I had. Katy and her husband Geoff are so nice, friendly and down to earth. My daughter suffered a muscle spasm to her shoulder. Being a swimmer this was stopping her training properly. They made a late evening appointment for her, treated her and have also made an early morning appointment to cater for her to get to school on time.

I cannot recommend Katy highly enough. I initially went with a long term shoulder injury but I am rapidly finding her knowledge and approach is helping me with injuries and pain I've had for over 20 years and had accepted as just part of my life. I wish I had discovered the benefits of sports massage a long time ago. I have regained a quality of life I genuinely thought I had lost as I had tried a lot of other approaches with limited or no improvement. As well as being professional and knowledgeable, Katy is also friendly and personable so puts you at ease. If you Are considering going to see her then do it, and do so with an open mind to let Katy treat you in the most effective way be it with sports massage, taping, acupuncture or anything else. I’ve been twice now to Katy and not only is she great at what she does, she is very personable. For years I had suffered with a huge amount of pain in my left knee and that had always prevented me from achieving what I wanted to achieve in the sporting world. I'd always wanted to compete in a full marathon, but the dodgy knee had always held me back. I then heard about Katy and her sessions and thought I'd give it a try... Within no time at all, I wasn't feeling the same dull pains in my knee after my runs. I decided to step up my game and push on to sign up for a full marathon! In October last year, with my new found confidence and approach to my on-going injury, I completed my first every marathon run. After years of believing I'd never be able to get there, I finally made my dream a reality... and I can say undoubtedly that I would never have got there if it wasn't for Katy's sessions and sound advice. In 2014 I was involved in quite a serious car accident which caused tremendous pain in my lower back and right shoulder, after being referred to a local physiotherapist and having only deep tissue massage I was still in a lot of pain, that's when I approached Katy and she recommended and gave me four sessions of acupuncture with deep tissue massage. Last year I went to see Katy for advice after suffering with severe pain in both of my legs whilst training for the London marathon. I saw Katy a couple of times leading up to the race and she would give me a thorough massage in my legs to dig out any knots and help relax the muscles. As a National level swimmer, I have had problems on and off with my shoulders, as you often train over 15 hours a week in the pool. I went to Katy after suffering severe shoulder pain in my right shoulder, just a week before the East of England Swimming Championships in 2015. Katy managed to get several knots out from under my shoulder blades and did two rounds of acupuncture, as well as offering advice as to what I should and shouldn’t be doing in the pool, in order to help assist with my shoulders recovery and maintenance of the shoulder. Just three days after my treatment, I was back in the pool (pain free) and I managed to swim a massive lifetime best in the 200m freestyle, qualifying for the final and only narrowly missing out on a medal. Katy’s knowledge and understanding (having been a top swimmer herself) was vital in knowing how to treat my injury and I honestly don’t think I could have achieved what I did that day, without Katy’s work.
