We had our works Christmas do here, and as a venue it was great. There were plenty of attentive staff, music to dance to and a dance floor, but also a slightly quieter bar area where you could hear yourself think and chat to colleagues. Awesome location, clean room, spacious, nicely furnished and immersed in the countryside. The only downside is that, if you do not have a car, you will starve there (or more simply take a taxi to the closest village). They do not have food there: just some nibbles three days a week. Went to the café with a friend for afternoon tea. Next to a lake, a delightful setting. You can sit outside if you wish. Service was good, sandwiches and cakes beautiful and fresh. They even provide boxes if you want to take some home. It's quite a rustic setting, and if you needed the loo you had to go outside of the café and they were about 20yds away.
