We had hired a house for a family weekend away for my mother in laws 80th birthday and wanted a private chef to cook us all a meal.
I had plenty of contact with Maddy and that made me feel confident in choosing Ceylon & Beyond. I was given a choice of menus as a starting point and we chose a mixture of an English and Italian menu.
Harsha was extremely efficient and the food was delicious and it was all cooked to perfection.
Harsha laid the table, prepared, cooked and served the food and washed up and tidied away afterwards.

It was great working with Maddy on a special birthday party for my wife at our home. We agreed a menu for 20 guests of various requirements which were delivered on time with good quality. They worked in the background as we celebrated and kept the right balance of being part of the event but also separate enough not to intrude. After being let down by Maria from Roasted lemon I contacted Maddy from Ceylon and from the on set they were so helpful and patient . I spoke to Harsh the chef to put together a oriental menu for my daughters 30th dinner - food was amazing we had gayoza / papaya salad / the best mock chicken I’ve ever tried / fried rice / chicken katsu all finished off with sticky toffee pudding. We used Ceylon & Beyond for my husband's 30th birthday celebrations. I wanted to host a dinner party for our friends but didn't want either of us in the kitchen cooking all night so when I came across C&B it was the perfect solution. Communication was amazing from the start, my emails and queries were replied to quickly and the variety in the menu was fantastic. All of our guests were so impressed with C&B and the food was incredible. We had pulled pork croquettes to start, lamb shank and duck leg for mains and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All I can say is WOW!!! Ceylon & Beyond are professional, really easy to deal with and are genuinely nice guys. We booked them for a joint 50th birthday celebration and chose Sri Lankan, Cuban and Mexican cuisine which was absolutely amazing and we can't rate them highly enough. Top marks all round. 10/10

Our chefs have experience travelling and working in kitchens across the world, and can cook these cuisines to an excellent standard.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We liase closely with our clients from the start, bringing your ideas to reality at the table!
We want to get a sense of what you want, your travel experiences, favourite flavours, and wildest dreams. Whether you want to revisit a past trip, to taste dishes from around the world, or to craft something extra special for your event, we can help you make it happen.
What do you love most about your job?
We love providing our clients with a great food experience. For us as chefs, we are passionate about sharing amazing meals with people and having the chance to showcase our own menus.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After years in the food industry, working for big brands and Michelin starred restaurants, we are eager to put this experience to our own use so we can create the food we really love, and share it with special and intimate crowds.
Why should our clients choose you?
We offer a friendly relaxed service, with all arrangements considered, no party too large or small. We will listen to your requests and we can also make great suggestions based on your budget and event type. Whether it's a large party or an intimate meal, we can adapt to suit you, and create a great meal together.

Delivery options are Bristol based - if you just want a snack platter for your party or cold items only we can drop off to you at any location city wide.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We take all the necessary precautions to work with Covid-19, this includes extra cleaning of our equipment, extra hygiene in the kitchen, and distancing if required. We are both double vaccinated and can wear gloves and masks while working.
Please note that any last minute cancellations Covid related will be charged the agreed total cost.
Event catering
We offer delicious Sri Lankan food and herbal tea from our mobile kitchen. We can cater for any event, small or large. Our menu can be adjusted based on your personal preference - whether you want finger food, a curry buffet, or sweet treats and tea.
