I am an ICF accredited coach who has worked inside large global businesses as well as SMEs and start-ups providing coaching at all levels for the past decade. Making connections with people. Finding solutions, getting to a place of insight, seeing a way forward. I love working with people individually, and in teams, on what they can do to develop and grow, or to face a challenge or transition, or to simply be more effective in the way they are working. I am a good listener and train others to listen through my volunteering work for Samaritans, and that's really the key to all of this; listening and tuning in to people and their perspectives on things enables me to understand what's important to them, what's blocking them, and how we can work together to create the results people are seeking.

I started my career as an industrial chemist but later changed to organisational and people development as that was my passion. It still is, and I am energised by helping businesses, teams and individuals solve problems, develop and grow. I've done this for large, medium, and lately, start-ups. I am now at a stage in my career where I want to work directly with people and teams again rather than running departments, and most importantly, I want to do things in a way that's true to my personal values. What are they? I've posted a picture in my profile section that represents who I am and how I go about this work, it's the one with a watering can on which is written "Honesty, Integrity and Acceptance". The small print at the bottom reads "creating the conditions for people to flourish and feel valued". Have a look at that if you want to know more.

I do this work because it fascinates me and gives me energy. I've been successful over the past decade doing this for large, medium and most recently in a start-up, and the CEO I worked with there has kindly posted a review on here. I understand how tough it is in a small business, and how you need effective but pragmatic solutions that bring results fast.
