What do you love most about your job?
It's important to us that everyone who has the desire to live at home is able to regardless of their situation. What we love the most is giving people the opportunity to do just that by offering at home care services we know meet our values.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In my previous role as a nurse assessor for community services, I identified many gaps in the services that were being offered by local care providers. Most vivid in my memory is a situation which involved an elderly man and his wife. He was advised to go to hospital for a particular medical condition but because he was afraid that he would have to leave his wife in the hands of carers he was extremely hesitant to go. This struck a cord in my heart and in that moment I decided to start a domiciliary care service that would prioritize training carers above and beyond the minimum industry standard to avoid the lack of trust and confidence that has overshadowed the care industry. Being in a position of having to rely on others to perform your day to day tasks is an extremely vulnerable position to be in and one that should be handled with the utmost care. That is why Care moments exists - because absolutely every moment counts and we're here for it.

As a service we have taken the time to research and identify our community's pain points and we have gone to great lengths to design a service that doesn't try and fit you into a category but rather one that tailors itself to meet your needs your needs. What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As a service we make sure we are up to date with the latest government regulations regarding COVID-19. From a recruitment perspective this currently means remote interviews and on-boarding and for our clients this means the correct PPE and infection control.
Personal Care
Care Moments healthcare staff are committed to ensuring that you are appropriately supported so that you can enjoy every day to the fullest focus on leading a meaningful life. As part of this service, we can assist you with a range of tasks including washing, dressing and taking medication. People are different so we reflect that by catering to your specific requirements to meet your individual needs.
Housekeeping
We provide cooking and maintenance services through our carers; this includes both microwaved and freshly cooked meals. We are also able to assist with household tasks such as laundry, as long as it is achievable within the times allocated to the care visit.
Companionship
Loneliness can be difficult, so we aim to improve your quality of life by being a friend to your loved ones. You can choose to engage in a wide range of unique activities with our dedicated carers. If you need someone to talk to or want to take on a new hobby Care Moments will be provided staff to help you live a fulfilled and meaningful life.
