Where do I start. We put all our faith in Rachel to provide us with a cake which summed up both of us on our big day. Don't get me wrong she was a lovely lady and the tasting experience was wonderful. The moment I saw our wedding cake I was horrified! It was the oppersite to what we had asked for. It was everything I went over with her not wanting. We had asked for rose gold gems on it and just got yellow icing circles, the cape was suppose to be sweeping across the cake but was just plonked on the back! The fact the cake was a fake there was no reason to why it shouldn't of been smooth. It was covered in lumps bumps and big dents. The ice was all cracked, this would of been due to the thickness of the icing. There was nothing delicate about this cake! It's easy to say we won't use her again and none of ours guests would. Very disappointed as it cost us a lot for something I couldn't wait to put in the bin. More...

We loved working with Jo and Mark on our wedding stationary. They helped us at every stage. Sitting down with Jo to design everything was such a pleasant experience and we never felt pressured to do have something we didn't want. The invites looked brilliant and we had loads of positive feedback from our guests about how great they were. The same was true of our order of service. I'm very surprised and sad to read these poor reviews of Rachel's work. I asked her to make a 100th birthday cake in the shape of King's Chapel for my father, and she rose to the challenge beautifully. (It was a bit more squat in shape than the actual chapel, but that's fair enough! It was certainly recognisable.) She gave us numerous choices of flavour beforehand, and was very prompt and lovely to work with. Admittedly it was a birthday, not wedding, cake so perhaps there was slightly less at stake, but we had 100 guests and they were most impressed. My only criticism would be that it was a little bit too sweet for our taste but we are not big cake eaters and don't like sweet food, and most of the sweetness was in the icing.
