This hotel is very nice, the staff are all very helpful. The only gripe l would have is l booked a superior room, but don't feel it should be classified as this. Carpet was covered in large stains, small table should have been thrown out long time ago as very chipped and marked. But still enjoyed our stay. Leisure facilities are fantastic. 14 of us stayed here for a Hen weekend. The rooms had great space as well as good facilities. The evening meal in the restaurant was good quality and a wide range of choices on the set menus. I am reviewing the leisure facilities as I haven't used the hotel accommodation. For a small spa facility this is very nice to visit. The facilities are very clean and well managed. the pool is very nice and there is a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi at the poolside. The changing rooms are a little small but this is only because they are fitted into the old building. the showers are set at a perfect temperature and every thing is again very clean. There are secure lockers, swimwear dryer, hair dryers, and toilet. The fitness suite is very nice, not huge but all good equipment and temperature controlled. The overall feeling is of exercise and relaxation rather than body building emphasis. The foyer area includes a further exercise space and here you can relax with hot or cold drinks and snacks. The staff are warm and friendly and the atmosphere is of a friendly and family run hotel and spa. Membership is very reasonably priced and visitors are welcome again at very reasonable charges.
