The staff were so accomodating to me and my friend with our four children under three! Made sure the kids had their colouring and we had what we needed. The food was lovely and came in good time. My wife, myself and granddaughter visited cafe rouge in loughton today sun 11 aug...and we used virgin experience that was brought as a present. When presenting it the manager he informed me that after he checked it it was saying it had already been used. We know it hadn't..the manager told us to sit down an we could have our afternoon tea and cakes for free which was very nice of him..I offered to pay but he declined... The place serves well cooked and tasty food. The atmosphere and the decoration are all full of French motifs and the garden is an amazing place to eat on a nice sunny day. The staff is helpful and the food did not take long to come out. I recommend going with someone and both ordering a set menu so you can try different starters, main courses and desserts. The food there was really amazing. I didn’t order any starters but I had a beef burger with bacon and the beef was so tender and tasted like it had been grilled. The bacon in my burger was also cooked to perfection. For desert I had the tarte au citron which was again beautiful and tasted of fresh lemon. The crème fraîche was really tart and sour but went well with the desert. Lastly I had a baileys latte which wasn’t too strong and overall had a nice flavour.
